I believe there is also a mod in the Library that lets you build repair bays on starbases to increase the rate. I could be wrong though

(If this is in the wrong section my apoligies) I was playing a game of DL today and when I built a influence starbase it had the graphic of the resource base. Then when I added modules to it it changed to the influence graphic and then to a planet graphic. I think it might be because of my tinkering with the files for modding but I wanted to check and see if anyone else has had this happen before I remove and reinstall every mod I have in the game.

I've taken to naming my ships based on the following: Frieghters and the like are never named. Most other ships get a name based on whatever comes to mind. Ships that have survived many battles and gained a few levels of experience get renamed to mythological characters (gods, heros, monsters, etc) Starbases get a name based on their purpose and location. This leads to a huge amount of possibilities and originality

I really like this idea. It wouldn't have to give a big bonus since we don't have control of air. It would be interesting to see what people would come up with.

I think the only things really preventing this is that theres no Starbase Soldiering ability. Also no way to dock transports. If that was added then I believe we could do the rest. I really like this idea and very much hope it becomes possible to create

I'm attempting to mod a new branch onto the Tech Tree for some new mining modules. My first tech had a requirement of Xeno Engineering and it showed up in the tech list when creating a custom race. Then I put in my second tech which required my first tech but when I went back to the tech list only my second tech was there and stayed even if I removed Xeno Engineering from the list of techs you start with. Reply to Starbase Styles in Modding

This could be an interesting idea. Maybe make the unique modules at the end of a paticular line of the tech tree. For instance the Drengin might get some unique military modules at the end of the Starbase Fortification or Starbase Defenses branch

I got really lucky in my last game. Small galaxy, 2 opponenents, easy diffuculty. I had a 300% and a 700% research bonus tiles on my home planet and a 100% approval bonus on the first planet I colonized.
