here's mine: #1: offical level editor that lets us easily create maps, as well as npc races. #2: Better Random map creation with the ability to pre set player & NPC's starting positions. (I.E four corners, Center cluster, etc..) Maybe just being able to click on a blank mini map before starting the game to choose where each race stars woudl be good. #3 the maps being more 3d and not "flat space" It would be far more exciting and straegic to play on a map that expands u

How's the update going on a new relase of this? a random map generaotr for the level editor would be really helpful.
I'd be happy to lend a hand whereever needed Master U
Check your firewall connection, sometimes it'll throttle a large download. I found when ordiring games walmart.com can susually mail you the game in about 48 hours for standard shipping rates (about 1.95 standard uspd)and then you have the game and a hard copy all in one shot with less problems. Also see if you;re using a download manager, sometimes a few connections have issues with them and limit thier dl speeds.
Makes sense actually, if the seller is praticing un ethical business (keeping the key while selling the discs) then she should be the one held responsible.
I've got experience in coding and creating sound/music files if any of that is really needed. (I've modded Warhammer 40k dawn of war, Impossible creatures, and Homeworld 2, so am most familiar with LUA coding, but the XML that GC II uses seems pretty basic in comparison.)
Okay this entire registry concept makes sense here, but talking in thoery here, would it then be thoeretically plausabile to simply register the game under a dummy e-mail (like [email protected]) then provide the e-mail and serial when reselling it?) IF the entire purpose of the activation is to prevent piracy, why not simply let the user transfer their single copy to another user providing they inform stardock they're relinquishing their rights to the property to person X who can
Great points broght up so far, and even more impressive is the knowledge they're actually being listened to by the developers (unlike other game companies) Another idea to improve the maps is to add some other inerstellar phoenemon such as -Black holes (navigational hazards that woudl lower a ships movment speed and have a % chance of desroying them if they came too close) -Nebulea (bonuses to movment, maybe negetating shields, or cloaking he ships from detection by th
Just thouht I'd ask if anyone is in the middle or working on, or considered working on a homeworld 2 or starwars mod for gal civ II?
Play a 'Battle of the Gods' scenario while using my mod. Problem solved *blinks* That's one heck of a mod, thanks for pointing it out.
Sugestions: Go to a dump or recycling center and pick up a junked lawn mower, the engine might be strong enoughn to et you going depending on your size and weight. (and the tires might be helpful.) While you're there ask about for junked bikes, (good for wheels and chain and the frame can be hacksawed into a partial roll cage) A junkyard would also have some nice junk like an old car seat and steering wheel. Depending on your age (I'm guessing teens) they'll p
An idea I had for the next patch that would be pretty fun and a real convience to everyone: From the main menu have an extra option called the "Ultimate Star Dock" or some such, and inside place all the races hulls and ship pieces in the game avaialabe for starship creation (with starship jewlery seperated by race of course so you can actualy play with them) This would allow everyone that's just feeling like creating starships for a race, or to premake the ships for their next
Thanks a bunch I'll be sure to pass this along to my friends, who will no doubt be deeply pleased! And on a side note, that's got to be the fastest forum based tech support I EVER seen. Like 5 mintues before a solution gets posted. Impressive. Now if only you could go kick Half Life 2's suppo
I agree with a lot of what's been said about multiplayer, but teaming up with my lover and double teaming the compuer in rts games has been a favorite past time of ours for ages, and I thought of a limited multiplayer that could maybe enabled realativly easily in the future? Imagine i being very limited in the number of players, lets say only 2 can LAN and are forced to be on the same team, (vs the computer obviously) They then manage their civilizations normally, with turn bas
Thanks for letting me know. Another friend of mind suggested making a trainer to alter the hard coded number. If anyones interested I'll put it up for download after I finish it. On a side note, I found if you reduce the cost of tech items so you can buy more of them, it also makes them research tons faster. (the cost value equals out to 1 point = 1 week of research time If I'm correct)
Okay here's the situation: Lets say for example I don't own internet access (yes not everyone has it that has a pc, especilly those of us in extremly rural areas or low income) No where does it say on the box "you must have internet access to register and activate this game for updates" Well no big deal since without net access you couldn't download the patch right? Actually many people I know without net access either go to a public library and download the patches th
Isw there a way to mod the # of starting points beyond the 200 or whatever it is for a custom race tech tree? (I'd like to start with closer to 500-600 points in the tech tree when making up a race, and would rather not mess about trying to create a races tech in the xml files. It;s just be easier to increase the point value)
