Good troubleshooting there, Cari (I do it for a living too). Is there a workaround for people currently struggling with the issue or are those individual games "lost" for all intents and purposes? Thanks

Don't know if this is important either but that map was Huge one, not a gigantic.
Don't know if it's important but the last good save before this happened is date 22 Feb 2239.

Deleted ships first and deleted all old save games. Tried saving over an old game, no go. Tried quick saving, no go. Tried creating a new save, no go. Here's the debug: Debug Message: Updating ZOC. I think the map was huge, not gigantic but I haven't looked at it in a day or two so I can't remember. FYI, this was a save game already in existance when I patched to v1.3B, not a new game. I haven't started a new game since the patch so I don't know if it will be reproducable with a fresh game. My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\Metaverse\ships was already empty My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\ships deleted 540 items Haven't touched the textures. I'll
I had originally posted this in its own thread but I'll add it here as this post is getting more traffic and, hopefully, more attention. I'm trying to save a game in the late stages of galactic domination. I tried to reboot and redo this a couple times but the same thing happened. When I ctrl-alt-del and jump back to windows there is an "Out of memory" error pop-up on the screen. I find that hard to believe since I'm running with 2gigs of RAM. Here is are the last few lines of the
Glad to see everyone's responses. I'm also glad I'm not the only who occasionally struggles through the Empire Builder's equivalent of writer's block trying to come up with names for his/her ships. What are some of your favorite names? (Either for an individual ship or a series) My favorites are: Minotaur Dreadlord (massive build, end of the tree defenses but only disruptor power weapons) Lord of Hades (massive build, end of the tree weapons and defens
Ship building, it's almost a game within a game. Trying to squeeze in all the firepower, defense, speed, range, etc you can while maintaining some modicum of affordability as well as the asthetic aspect of making a ship look menacing. However, when you've completed your masterpiece, what do you call it? I find that I simply can't let myself spend 45 minutes (or more) on a single ship design and not give it an equally unique and well-thought-out name. How do you all name your ships?

Wife: Did you read the instructions?! Me: Instructions are for l0s3rs!! ... Doh.... I never even noticed.
I haven't seen anything else posted about this issue so I figured I'd ask. Some of the extras (mostly just style specific ones) have their scaling screwed up on my game. The non-human extras seemed to be scaled about 10x too large. The only affected extras I've seen are the decoration ones. None of the functional components I've used have been affected. The extras in question will display correctly on the preconfigured models, Battle Axe, Phoenix, etc. But if you add them to a
