Ship extras: Scaling problem

I haven't seen anything else posted about this issue so I figured I'd ask.

Some of the extras (mostly just style specific ones) have their scaling screwed up on my game. The non-human extras seemed to be scaled about 10x too large. The only affected extras I've seen are the decoration ones. None of the functional components I've used have been affected.

The extras in question will display correctly on the preconfigured models, Battle Axe, Phoenix, etc. But if you add them to a custom design they scale up about 10x and are sometimes larger than the model you're trying to attach them too.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Does anyone know of a fix for it? My creativity is being severely stifled.

If it helps, I'm running the game on a GeForce 7800 Go. I updated the drivers to the one that was released in April '06. I think that's the latest but I haven't checked.

You're actually able to scale the size of components down with one of the slider controls (provided you're using GalCiv2 v1.1 or later).

  Yep, scaling and rotating comes in very handy if you want something to be aesthetically pleasing.
