Well Dr. Strangelove references aside, I'm missing something. I built the thing, but how do you use it? I move it . . . nothing . .in the last(?) scenario, I purchased it all from the Iconians (for a $1 -- go figure), and yet it does nothing but look like a "Contact" wannabe. Someone please let me know what I must do to end the galactic menace!

Well I reinstalled all, so I have all the updates. I think the card was still at fault as I installed an older 64MD card from NVidia, and no crashes.

YEA!! It all works now . .except for the NCC 1701 Constitution mod, anyone have that prob?

Or, as I noticed, I have -2- Galc2 folders, weird hunh? I put it in both and voila, BUT like a fool I forgot to backup stuff, so all my stuff is wrong. Uh, reinstall I guess, correct?

Ok, I've followed the directions, I've even DL'd the KHSM mod. NONE of them work. When I goto to the options, NONE of the mod folders exist. The only folders that exist are Default and example. I have the retail version, and have dl'd all the stuff from Stardock. Any hints?

Well the funnier part will happen when I get the bill for fixing the thing. . .

UPDATE: I think it was the video card. I downgraded, and although the graphics are not pretty, (being 64 mb and all), there are no more crashes. So I wrote to ATI. As an interesting note, the card was HOT HOT HOT to the touch . . .hmmm.

Okay, I ALSO updated all my drivers, and the game worked fine, NOW it is crashing JUST when I try to load any games -- which is annoying since I was kicking the crap out of the AI on a game (Cheating? Sour grapes?). Anyway, I have an ATI Rage 9800 Pro, and run XP. Anyone have any hints? --Matt
