Hey SD, if you fix the MV by this evening, I'll buy another copy. Surely that's worth an hour of somebody getting it fixed?
[e digicons][/e] PS: so we are already two...I am sure more of us will join and little by little we bring up enough for a new server or something

Your empire looks charming Gm00nii, wish you good luck with it ! PS: it's a harsh time and an inexorable world out there full of bloody claws with intent to distroy all life being...[e digicons]:-"[/e]
True, critics does never improve anything, it looks like the server is strinking. Obviously new projects have priority (I would do the same with new games before releases) but there is no doubt the MV-server is going to be fixed soon. It is most likely a technical issue and not due to priorities or even. PS: the Metaverse became a vital part of the game and something says me we will be celebrating 10 years MV..[e digicons][/e] . I certainly like ne
The problem is still persisiting....it looks to be some kind of serious (hope the metaverse data did not get lost...[e digicons]8C[/e] ) Anyway it would be nice to get it fixed soon thank you stardock !
Impressive, to say I must. Hats off guys it is good to see you have still plenty of activities out there. Still a great forum. May I come to seep a coffee in the Milionaire’s Club? Unfortunatelly I don’t think to get part of the club, I wish I could, but I’m more likely the one chasing challenge with quick games. Honestly a game above 1 mill needs plenty of time, patience and knowhow. I respect and envy that. Take care [e digicons]:moon:[/e]
Many thanks Cypher ! Yeah, I know very well Windstar's "Altarian Rebellion" AAR, one of the greatest out there and there is lots to learn from it indeed. I meant that the Altarian are become incredible strong every time in each game. I'm not sure if it's the same for all levels. The problem with the Altarians is that for some reason they do not research weapons early enough in the game, but they do research everything else incredibly quick... Take care
Folks, after a good and long time playn’ I finally beat the AI on suicide having fun without rushing it. I realized that it’s not possible without specialization (f.ex. “all-factory-planets”), dirty tricks, precise management and war buyings. One of my dirtiest trick was making an alliance in order to protect myself and later on breaking it for being able to win
Hei great work ! I found especially funny the "most wanted criminals in the galaxys" area. So, if I am able to capture Kzinty, let's say with a bottle of milk [e digicons][/e] , then with him I'll be theroretically holding up all his caracters (by the way also on the most wanted list), then this will finnaly make me rich dude ! PS: If anyone has seen these guys: Kzinty [e digicons]:wulf:[/e] , Neilo [e digicons]:cylon:[/e] and Motti [e digicons]}:)
Thanks Mumble, I'll give it a try next time :) For this purpose I am also thinking to borrow the machine "Columbia" from Nasa, which has about 20 Terabytes of RAM just to increase my score a little (it will be difficult to explain them the reason...) Many thanks Mumblefratz. Like usually, we are getting plenty of best information on how to do things. I have a question. You wrote:
..I get around 17 thousand 1 attack / 1 defense ships I then do a massive upgrade to the most powerful ship that I can build...
As I never did such a massiv upgrade, I guess you'll need huge amounts of cash in order to that, right? Otherwise I can't imagine how to upgrade 17 tons of ships all at once... PS: do you
We found Grammar Nanny somewhere in a galactic pub seeping beer again....
Actually I'm also interested to know what is the exact impact of the intensive algorithms on different game levels. I remeber having switched it on once in DA, got pretty terrified of the AI's performance so I never touched this ever since. I mean, it's already spicy enough to jump to an upper level... However it would be interesting to know more about it in figures.
Going back to the initial post, me as a double senator and empire leader I'm holding 2+2(1+empire bonus)= 4 votes ready to be thrown into the next elections. Meanwhile can we vote to get some wine instead? Hmmm, after 27 pages, beer seems to have caused somehow excess... PS: Does anyone already know what will we be voting on the next elections?
Our godess Kira has been invited to join the GALACTIC STARGATE COMMAND empire and she belives, that some action might finnaly do her good. Her laser sword is sharp and she is eager to fight wherever evil blood is to be claimed :( The Kzinty empire has a great history and became remarkably the most dreadful opponent within the galaxy. We remind you that it can't be stopped until we strike back all together. Meanwhile, congratulation to the 6th place ! You bring spi
I thought they already changed the MCC in TA... however I'll give it another try before switching to the dark-side X-( It is mainly true, that the gaps are much too big. It's a tough jump in cold water... Take care
I don't know if it has been said on the forum, but I find there is a too big gap between the last three difficulty levels. I mean to get from Masochistic to Obscene you face a 100% increase in AI's everything and another 100% for Suicidal. Man that's tough... It would be great to have something like two new difficulty levels between, each with a 50% increase to the next level. That would gain back my selfconfidence... ;)
Folks, Congratulations, the UNITED CONFEDERATION OF PLANETS is ranked 22 by now. There are still some fancy battles to be won and the empire gets up among the first 20. Join us bro and together we will free the enslaved ones and fight our way to freedom. Ok it looks like Dr Picard retired, but you guys are welcomed on board.
A related question about good and evil - can you just colonize a bunch of worlds, pick evil for all the events, and then choose good once you research Xeno Ethics?

You can, but it'll cost you big.
Hmmm, actually there is a small trick, almost unnecessary to fix it, right guys? Just stick with a good race from beginning on (Torian, Drath etc..) and you will be able to pick up those evil bonuses on your way to xeno-ethics and at the end
Hi guys, I know it's kind of off topic, but you can probably help me. I wish to spread some karma (you know this new gadget giving you karma points...) to some forumers but I couldn't figure out to do it so far.... Thanks
Nice summary above.. Since I play TA I find that races are pretty well balanced (better than in DA). The Yor and Korath are more likely to become quickly strong, but the gap between races is no more that big. It's really positive.
xiii). As far as I know the difficulty level does contribute too, but never knew how or how much... PS: with the immense maps in TA it may now be theoretically possible to reach 1 million points (Purge is perhaps already working on it... ;)
You play and play and play and upon a while when you can’t manage keeping your eyes open you feel ready for a shut down...but then the message appears asking you something like “are you sure you don’t want to take another turn?”. Ok ok, another turn but then its finished. At six o’clock in the morning your girl friend is showing up in the kitchen (becoming usually your empire office after midnight) saying: “you ain’t serious, are you?” PS: our kitchen has a 20x20cm clock on the w
The Kzinti empire has just sent an assault fleet to your homeworld. Enjoy the sight of it, because it's the last thing you'll see! *evil laugh*
Impressive, but the UNITED CONFEDERATION OF PLANETS is ready to welcome it first with some eggs and tomato throwing.. ..and then with our most impressive defenses (who's pictures won't show up on this post...sorry its top secret)
The shattered soul of Kira was most tempting, but I left her intact so she could return to you whole.
...You must admit Motti that she has courage. She is sweet but has sometimes some bad temper and some of your attendants are even happy to return to their quite lives…hmmm…reminds me of Jeanne d’Arc
Relegating her to lead the abandoned empire is a most evil and refreshing deed. I'm proud to honor the name of Loups as a true brother in evil.
<br/
Allies are for the weak. As the saying goes"you should only make allies for two reasons. One, they offer you something you can only get from them. The second reason is if you cant beat them, then join them. If you make allyes just to protect your self, then you should never be a empire. If cant defend your self without alys then you are weak."
In fact you ally to get stronger, which automatically benefits for the allies in many ways...and this is what we did.
