I have them all turned off, but I do have 3 other planets outside the system. I will turn on the effects and see what happens. Thanks for the idea OK, I have turned on the graphics and the star did indeed blow up. That is a bug that should be fixed.

In the campaign, the Iconians inhabited one of the planets around the star that needs to be blown up with the terror star. Since I am allied with them and I could not break the alliance to detonate the star. I lost the Terror Star to overwhelming numbers of Dread Lords. No big deal, I will use influence to capture the planet. That worked. I built a new TS and attempted to destroy the star. No luck. The game would ask if I am sure, since they are my plane

How about changing the pathing. Instead of going diagonal and then straight to your target, how about a beeline there. This goes for both trade routes and ship movement. Even setting waypoints for both would be great. That way, you could route your freighters around hostile territory. I have been burned too many times by selecting a destination somewhere only to have my weaker ship move in an unexpected diagonal right next to the dread lord ship. Oh that is irritating. I have accidentally put the english.str into the wrong folder and overwrote the DL version. Will DL be OK, or can someone send me the DL version of the file, English.str?

Has anyone commented on the MP of ships changing? i have ships with 37 MPs and all of a sudden, they can only move 3 squares. This is with the 1.5 DA version.

I removed the audio card, restarted windows, shut down, insterted the card, and it showed up as if nothing had happened. Go figure.

I was playing the other day and the game crashed...BSOD. OK, I played two days ago on small galaxy, everything was fine...BSOD crash. When I restarted I was missing hardware, and my soundcard was gone. It was not detected by the system. I believe that this was due to GalCiv. I also experienced the stripping of jewelry of the ships. I spent a lot of time making base ships on which to add my weapons and armor, and those ships, as well as the current ships in play have all the jewelry stripped off when I try to upgrade.

I have experienced this as well. What I found was that I had been given freighters, and until I destroyed them, I could not end my turn. This occured 2 or three times in one game. NExt time, look for freighters that were gifts t oyou and destroy them.

I would like to be able to define the route from one plane to another. The overall value of the route should be calcuated at the shortest distance, but if I am able to make my route go around the influence of an enemy, so I can actually benefit from the trade route, that would be great. It really sucks if you are in a corner and you are at war with your neighbor and the trade route you so carefully established by going around the enemy is worthless because the AI decided that the best route is

The constructor needs to have a more visible circle of influence. It is very hard to see the circle of the darker colors against the black background. Maybe add a border to the outer edge of the circle or reduce the transparency to 75% or so, so the circle can be seen before building the starbase in the wrong location. Another option would be to confim the starbase AFTER you have seen the results. In short, we need to be able to see the influence cirle of the constructor before bu

It would be nice to have two new requests: 1) Remove ships from your influence 2) Request that starbases be destroyed, rather than just "give it to me"

Please add the upgrade option on the ship detail screen. It is nice to have the upgrade button on the main scren for single ships, but for a stack of ships, you cannot upgrade a ship. By adding the updgrade to the detail, then the individual ship in a stack can be upgraded. This reduces the risk of leaving an upgrading ship vulnerable to attack.
