Wow, the Dread Lords just produced a Constructor. [e digicons]:')[/e]
Ackos
All random for me
My initial impression is, a heros of might and magic knock off.
Not much of a choice 1) a socilist at best, or a communist at worst 2) a Bush clone The lesser of two evils is still evil. This country is in deep poo the next 4 years no matter who wins.
Just like the title says. About half the time my Gal Civ II gold edition running the latest patch crashes when I alt tab. It's particularly frustrating when I'm working on my AAR and I have to Alt Tab to save screen shots. Any thoughts or suggestions? Anyone else have this problem?
Always has afaik. [e digicons]:pout:[/e] I always quick save before.
I have never seen the need to produce fleets with varied ships. I just produce the best ship available and fleet them up as they are produced. Naming system (not very cleaver) but works for me: Race (3 letters) - to seperate different racial designs Size - T, S, M, L, H you may want something more clever Weapon system - Laser I, II, III etc to tell me what is on it Attack value So i might have a Yor S Laser I-1&n
As you continue on in your galciv career you will notice that for some races their AI will concentrate on researching and building medium to large ships early in the game. A few medium or large ships will quickly skew the military rating in their favor. However they are very underpowered and you just need to zerg them with your ity bity ships till they pop. Also i will concentrate on 1 weapon line during a game. I rarely have a had a need for 2 differe
I sit back and wait. When i do get wardecd, i will fight (if i can) till they are wiped off the map. Another way i collect planets, is to periodically offer to buy planets, you might be surprised as to how often the AI is willing to sell.
I occasionally get this too
Improved AI for scout ships, exploration, miners, etc.
I have noticed this, and they will often wait for a long time before starting to research cures.
-Scout ships need new AI, they need to recon local sectors before running off to lala land. Maybe a spiral pattern based on the planet they were built. They also tend to play follow the leader, where one goes they all go. -When i give ships to another race, they just sit there doing nothing.
Thanks for the help Cari. It didnt work on the first try, only a few of the files actually downloaded. So, i tried it again and the second time it looks good.
According to SDC my game is at version 1.95 but none of the new options i.e. clock, zoom to mouse, etc are available. I checked the version number on the GC2TwilightOfTheArnor.exe file and it is 1.9.1.0, dated 1st May, 2008. Does this mean the update failed?
Same here.
High moral can equal higher taxes. I have had a few civilizations with near 75% tax rate and nearly 90% approval. Also low moral can open your planets to fundamentalist? take overs (I think).
Race: (3 letter code) Size: T, S, M, L, H Weapon: Rail, Pulse, Grav, etc Tech level: I, II, III, etc Attack #: Speed or defensive value (if room) Info section includes: maintenance fees, speed, defensive values So a ship could look like: TER S Rail I-1 3pc or TER S Rail I-1 S3 (Shields) An upgrade might look like: TER S Pulse I-4 3pc
It is buggy, but the game is still very playable. Just save often ;)
a custom female race of fetish pornographers. A another female fetish custom race. How do I deal with this...
Psychiatry might help with your female pornographer fetish. :p
The Krynn established an Ascension star base early on, but none of the AI races tried to attack.
That has been my experience also. Maybe they dont generate enough "hate"
Cap'n Patch, if you dont like your start position, "ctrl-n" will toggle you through new ones.
Well, i am not sure i love the new economy. But it definitely makes the games more challenging.
The "new" ground combat screen is something you might have seen on a C64. A very weak effort.
Off for me.
Defiantly have to rethink your game strategies from the previous versions.
Thanks, i scanned over the option a couple times and missed it everytime! :SNIFF!: The main reason i turned the option off, is that i prefer my naming system. Also, is there a reason why the Thalan auto designer is producing both the Defender and Phoenix? Both appear to be producing the same ships (at least through laser 4).
