Here are some details for the problems I had in GalCiv2: The further I was in a game, the longer it took to upload it. If a game were really far along, the upload could take over five minutes! Ahhh!!!! The mini-screen showing the bar graph of the races' rankings pixelated periodically. Sometimes, especially in a far along game, the entire game locked up, requiring the computer to be turned off. Have these been addressed?

I owned Galactic Civ II, and loved it ... UNTIL the gliches set it. Each time I started the game, it took longer and longer to load, especially with games far in progress. The screen pixelated. AND, when I got to a certain point, the game just froze. SO, does the gold edition fix these problems? Is it smooth and playable, or annoyingly riddled with basic software problems like the old one???

Initially I thought the game was awesome. Great graphics, great concept, design your own ships and race. Then reality sets in. The game is annoyingly riddled with bugs. In order to thoroughly clean them out, you not only need to upload all the updates from stardock (which requires you to load up something else entirely), you also at times need to copy the debug file from you game on the online forum. Whenever I go to the load/save button, I am not able to save the game using any name I choose - I must use the quick save or auto save name locations. Also, the planetary mini screen at the bottom right garbles sometimes. Help?
