They allow me to rotate images in the browser, manipulate scripts or page code, block ads and create animated .png-files on the fly. Or to run IRC as a part of the browser. None of that is useless.

You have remembered that humble origin for the triple-A blockbuster hits we are currently accustomed to. Let none forget Pong![/quote]Tsk. First popular arcade game, maybe. We all know that all real gamers started with Computer Space . :p

I personally appreciate a whole slew of addons that I've found good use for. For example, I have a hard time imagining my life without AdBlock Plus. I had no idea Firebug had such an impact, though. Never really noticed.

Civilization 2 - Civilization may have been the original game, but it was Civilization 2 that solidified the concept and in my opinion created that genre. Truly memorable. Others may of course disagree; I'm judging this from the standpoint of someone that was very young when the original Civilization was released. Alpha Centauri - The first game, to my knowledge, that really let you create your own units, with a "real" 3d environment where terrain

It could be nothing short of an amazing setting for a classic RPG.

A note on the Space Marines and "spiritual purity"; Many Space Marine chapters does not venerate the Emperor in accordance to the Imperial Creed. They consider him an amazing individual, the epitome of humanity, their Emperor and commander, but it's important to note that they don't buy into the Ecclesiarchy's (and by extension, the Inquisition's) view that he is in fact a god. Many only begrudgingly accept it and have compromised by enforcing the presence of Chaplains in thei

This is nothing new. I've been subjected to this personally and, in a way, I still am. I was banned from the Bioware forums back when the whole Bioware Bazaar debacle went down and lost everything I had bought on my EA/Bioware account and all associated DLCs and promotionals. I had everything; absolutely EVERYTHING for both Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins, legitimately. All gone. Forever. So yes. Edit: [quote who="Annatar11" reply

Annatar, while I have not played the game (nor do I intend to), I can confirm that based on pre-release information, the upgrade of your companion's armor is indeed cosmetic, like in Mass Effect 2. Also, based on your critique, I have no idea how you came to an 8-8.5 score (presumably, you mean 8/10, not 8/100). Based on what I'm reading into your text, I'm surprised it's any higher than 6. 7 at most.

They demolished (and rightly so) Elemental, but now they don't have the stomach to criticize the giant Bioware. I hope DA2 will tank. No, I hope it will tank HARD. Sad days for PC gamers, indeed. Uuh, I wish I could say no. I don't really have that much of an interest in multiplayer, but on the other hand, there are situations where I'd love to play some multiplayer, if I only had someone to play with. So I'm going to have to say yes.
