As far as I know, besides the vestigial collectors edition stuff, there are no pre-order bonuses.
Calling it vestigial or pointing out that they're even more restricted than pre-order doesn't exactly change the situation. Looks interesting, but I want to see some specifics before I get my hopes up. The last thing Baldur's Gate needs is "streamlining" and "accessibility".
No interest in D3 in the slightest. Removal of LAN capabilities was bad enough, but combined with a reliance on their servers, neutering basic character development aspects, real money being all over the place, arena focus, and pre-order exclusive bonuses, they've manage to completely ruin it for me. It's a MMO light. I hope it tanks as bad as Hellgate did.
I so wish that I had any money to spare whatsoever, so I could support the creation of Wasteland 2; if only enough to get the pre-order deal. I am really, really looking forward to this. I still have high hopes that they'll manage to break 3mil before the end of the Kickstarter campaign.
Simple, the modded file is actually replacing the entire defaults (shown as they are in the game DATA sub-root) altogether since it has the very same name. I thought this was the "regular" way of appending extra items via a "true" mod structure. The only difference being WHERE any of these files get loaded from... Alright, I managed to solve it. I still don't have an idea WHY it works now and why it didn't work before. I took the last file I made (the original one with my additional parties stuffed to the end) and simply renamed it to "PoliticalParties.xml", still stuck in the PoliticalParties mods folder. Now, automagicly, all parties seem to be working properly (instead of just half of them). This makes absolutely no sense to me, but now it works. If anyo
There doesn't seem to be any typos above and AFAIC, the whole numbering pattern fits the intended structure. I do have an extra fourteen parties in X-Worlds and they all work fine - the only difference i can see in your xml file is that the defaults aren't listed INTO it while my modded pp.xml kept everything as it was -- i only added (pending) the supplemental ones to that 'default list'. Unless, ther
I managed to fix it by simply cutting the TechTree entry out and move it to just below the Xeno Industrial Theory, then save it all in the mod directory. It could end up causing some compatability issues (I assume) if Stardock decides to muck around with techs in some future patch(es), but it shouldn't be too bad (I suppose).
The order in which they are defined/declared... problem is, all techs in TechTree.xml are read first, so they end up showing up before any other techs. This causes some really weird looking tech tree displays sometimes. Try placing a dummy entry in the TechTree.xml file below where Xeno Industrial Theory is. That should fix the problem.
Hmm.. yeah, I can see how that may work. I put a dummy there, to "open up" a spot for m
Alright, I'm working on a number of political parties, in this case a stripped-down version of General Pant's Political Parties (because I didn't find some of them to fit seamlessly into the game). The issue is.. it's just not working properly. Expansionists works. Isolationist works. Foundationists works. Nationalists works. Conservationists works. Fundamentalists works. Moralists works. Artificial Socialists works. Frequentists works. Libertines/Libertine Party works. Businessmen/Mo
As per the topic. What governs what order techs are sorted? I'm working on my own custom race tech tree, and I'd really want my "Slavery Industrial Theory" to show up just below "Xeno Industrial Theory", instead of being sorted aaaaalll the way underneath the minor techs or shorter tech-"lines" (such as "Extreme Colonization").
I tried doing a search, but I couldn't actually find anything anywhere. Is there a way to run multiple instances of GalCiv2? I'm working on a mod a bit, and it'd really help if I could run more than one window of GalCiv2, to cross-check tech trees.
I read the 2nd amendment, including the first line. I think it has been grossly misused in modern America. While I think its too late to ban all weapons, I would ban quite a lot and place a lot more restrictions on sales of the rest. Not a surprising view from a Tory (historically having been the party of monarchists), but it's kinda important to us given that having weapons is what allowed us to throw off the monarchy in the first place.<br

Issues like this have been discussed before, like how radioactive worlds require special things, instead of simply wrapping everything in lead.. or something. "Special" worlds represent the worst of the worst in their respective category. A toxic world for example, isn't just a case of bad weather and some poison, but acidic rains. Comparatively, a "barren" world isn't just arid - it's a desolate wasteland with very little or no water, surface minerals, where absolutely nothing grows.<b

I'm not a convert. I'm still a pirate. I see no reason to apologize. Piracy was the reason I ever found this beautiful, excellent game. I didn't pay for it right away. No, I pushed it in front of me for a long time. If I'm still a pirate, and don't believe in intellectual property or copyrights, why did I buy the game? Simple. It's a fucking awesome game. :D In GalCiv2, everything a good game should have, from patches to expansions, from release to the day it dies. This company have
I honestly don't get why people are upset about this. Everyone usually rants how publishers push out unpolished titels, yet when a company takes the extra minute to really squash the last few bugs, they should just push it out the door?Keep in mind, TA is in PUBLIC BETA, which, for all accounts, probably is pretty close to the final product. There are constant updates about the curren status and what's being worked on.In the last poll, the majority voted 'make sure it's bug free' instead
