I don't mind micromanagement, but I'm going to postpone playing until civilization customization is improved. Basic stuff that was in GalCiv 2 is still missing, and I'm honestly surprised to see that the game was released as 1.0.

Well that's a bummer. Although finding and editing the files themselves is easy, knowing what does what appears to be a complete shot in the dark. I don't mind modding the base files - and don't see why that'd be a problem - but there seems to be no way to know just what to edit. I'm not even sure I found the appropriate file, let alone line, to edit. I think it is "GC3_Terran_Appearance" in GC3ApperanceDefs, but the numbers (aside fr

I just tried the game, and being an old GalCiv 2 player, I immediately start making my own faction, but I have two questions: How do I edit the .faction-files? I can't figure out how, and I'd like to take a look at what you can't and cannot do, as well as set up some bonuses or penalties that would be "illegal" by standard game rules/faction creation. I'm a bit shocked that they didn't keep the .xml formats used in GalCiv2, which made m

In hindsight, calling it "Global Warming" was a mistake, since the vast swathes of nincompoops of the planet thinks that their little corner is destined to get warmer, and cannot comprehend that warming on a global scale has far-reaching consequences that may, paradoxically, end up increasing rainfall in one place, making it colder in another, and turn the equator into one massive desert, all at once.

No interest in D3 in the slightest. Removal of LAN capabilities was bad enough, but combined with a reliance on their servers, neutering basic character development aspects, real money being all over the place, arena focus, and pre-order exclusive bonuses, they've manage to completely ruin it for me. It's a MMO light. I hope it tanks as bad as Hellgate did.

I so wish that I had any money to spare whatsoever, so I could support the creation of Wasteland 2; if only enough to get the pre-order deal. I am really, really looking forward to this. I still have high hopes that they'll manage to break 3mil before the end of the Kickstarter campaign.

When I get my milk, I know what I'm getting; I'm getting milk. This milk tastes much like how milk is supposed to taste. Very milk-y. Why would I need to drink it in the grocery store?

I am still extremely hesitant about Human Revolution. It just doesn't look like Deus Ex to me - not in any way. The showcased level didn't really raise my hopes, either. It feels like they pre-programmed a number of set paths and that's it. Maybe they did this for Deus Ex, too, but it was never noticeable. It always felt natural, like you were doing your thing, independent from what the programmers/level designers expected. I have, however, heard good things about the leak

When can we expect 1.3? This may be a common question and may have been answered, but I'm not as attentive to the boards as I used to. [quote]+ LOTS of code to handle the increasing costs in terms of people to run your improvements. I must say that I have a really hard time getting pumped for Fallen Enchantress after E:WoM, especially with it being stand-alone. Leaves me feeling that E:WoM will never be "fixed" and was just the beta for Fallen Enchantress. I know it's not, technically speaking, but I can't help feeling like that.
