Real galaxies have more than the number of stars even Gigantic Maps can have. Think of the map as a slice of the galaxy. You want a game that allows you have even a fraction of the number of planets out there? Wait for Spore. Might be other games, but that's the one I'm lookin' out for. xD And we know Galaxies don't "Wrap"... The vote is still out wether or not Universes do.

I don't think it does what you're saying it does. I think it only allows all ships to survey anomolies. If it made survey modules free and take no space, then every ship could have infinite sensor range. I don't think this is what the developers intended.
Okay, I think we can sum up this whole Evolution issue. Like most disagreements, I think there're some terminology issues. I may be alone here, but I like designing my ships each time I play the game. I've played several games now and it becomes sort of annoying after a while when I have to go and obsolete eight different colonyship designs. xD I could delete them one at a time, I guess, but is there anyway to do it for all my custom ships at once? I'm glad I wasn't the only one not horribly impressed by the battle viewer. Now, I honestly would rate this kinda low on my list of priorities for game features (Would like the AI to stop swarming my three battle cruisers and all of them getting wasted... But I haven't tried the latest Beta yet.) but it would prove to be a nice and polished touch. I'm a programmer, but I've not done anything like this... Still, I don't think it would be too
