WOW easy there people, I'll take a look into modding and stuff if there's an interest in The Kingdom of Dodorian Federations. However I have to tell you that I've never so much as looked at a modding guide in my life, so it may take a while before I get anything set up. Additionally I'm working on expanding the backstory, It'll be up here at some point, just don't know when!

the core ships all have the same name... you'll have to design your own ship and name it "Fluffy Tail" PS. the core ships are too few anyway so you're better off designing your own anyway.

DeadDodo I've done a bit of traveling too while in the army. If you don't mind my asking what was the reason for all your travels? my parents dragged me (and my siblings) around with them, (dad's a doctor). it was a lot of fun really, though it has both it's advantages and disadvantages, but the advantages are much more prominent! Conquest, I love Rome Total War. I haven't yet played or even seen Medieval, but if it's in any way as good as Rome, I'll have to get it! DeadDodo you have grasped the whole reason this thread got started. But now I think we just have a perverse desire to suck up space and waste time. And vere talented we are at it too!

the links seem to need a bit of tweaking... but I got them to view finally... and I agree with Marc, the graphics don't compare with GC2... though it's the gameplay that really matters, so we'll see

I use firefox too to decrease my risk, as well as a firewall and AV. though I'm not that worried about my security. At some point I have to have a balance between security, and surfing/playing the internet and other networks... (LAN, etc) My main point with firefox is that it doesn't view all sites, some are tailored specifically for IE.

You mean Massive Multiplayer Online? Not me if a game says I have to have an internet connection to play I won't buy it. I don't like the idea of having to drop my firewall or create a DMZ so I can let total strangers access my computer. I agree completely, plus the fact that I like a good SP game once in a while....

I usually use them late game, when I have almost all attack and defence tech... use them with 21 ship fleets... it looks cool during the battle stage, and they're cheap. They will also mow down almost anything in your path in a fleet. as for your original question, stick a lot of attack on them, plus one defense module

It would be nice if the planet list in the game showed coordinates. even those co-ordinates are devilishly difficult to find
it doesn't matter where you put it, as long as the trade route is in it's sphere of influence.... however, the longer the minifreighter remains within the sphere of influence the more money you get.... so putting the starbase on top is still the best option
