The problem with your suggestion is that some early techs have two legs... Dimplomacy techs are a big one here. One will lead to Counter Espionage while the other leg leads to Version II of the earlier tech. Some of the good/evil techs are like this too.

I had a similar problem in that I couldn't get parts of the game to re-install nicely and I couldn't find my DL disk to get past the updater. It kept bombing out. Ultimately, I did find my DL disk, used it, and then the updater worked flawlessly. As a test, I also did a full download->install on my laptop to see if it was my internet connection or my desktop PC. Worked fine on my laptop without any hiccups. Later, I re-installed from scratch again on my desktop via SDC and it w
I'd go for a button / function that would let me set a planetary improvement as obsolete / non-obsolete. Far too often I end up trading / seizing techs that have the same or worse stats and for some reason, don't go into the Obsolete tab like they reasonably should. Makes for a **VERY** cluttered build list.
Well, looking at the XML files for TA & for DA, the MCC gets an AbilityAmount of 100. The problem with that is there is NO specified AbilityType in the xml. Perhaps this is the reason it's not working as expected?

It appears that the problems are inherent to my desktop PC. Most likely, some registry leftovers that were corrected once I had re-installed using the cd media for DA as my desktop is able to update fine at this point.
As I mentioned in the edit, I found my DA install disk and used it. From that point forward, updating worked flawlessly. It's just for some reason, it was refusing to download those items from scratch. GC2, Height Maps, and TA downloaded without a hitch. Not sure what support could do for me at this point as I have all of my GC2 stuff fully downloaded / patched (as appropriate) and working. I'll try a barebone download on my laptop tonight (since it's never had any Sta
Any suggestion as to why I can't download the full game using Stardock Central? Thus far, I was able to download: GalCiv2: Dread Lords to version 1.50.130 Height Maps to version 1.59.022 Twilight of the Arnor: In progress for version 0.91.001 I keep getting the following text for the rest of the downloads: Download: C:\DOCUME~1\Jay\LOCALS~1\Temp\sdcentral\gc2_Movies.sdc 0 | Attempt: 1 | -18 HTML code was detected within the download That ap
