I am in a large map. I have the 2nd largest Military of the last 3 teams. Started with 9. I should have taken out my neighbour early but I didn't. Now they have the swing vote and the strongest Military. Mine is pretty potent. I have researched Terror stars fully. My plan is to build several in several of my "Allies" main systems. He has some with 5 planets around a sun. My plan is to build 4 and then surprise attack taking out half his population and ships in 1 turn and then at
ROBO
anyone?
In the game depending on what reasearch you have done, certain ships are added to your build menu. Those ships also get upgraded as you get higher research automatically. Is it possible to make a custom ship that does the same thing and if so how?
I am working on making a custom Race that matches my play style. I have Economic Bonus, Morale Bonus, Influence Bonus, Research Bonus. I am tarying to find a good super power for them. I have tried the Super Diplomat which seemed to help my trade and relations with the other planets to keep them at bay while I built up my arms and such. What are the most useful super powers to have?
Yeah, I finally beat them back. With some custom made ships ar,med to the teeth with missile launchers I could beat them everytime. I was a little suprised when they kept coming. I had to keep ships on every planet I had. But I found the new rule for ties working in my favor as when we killed each other I survived and by the time they came back again I was fully healed. I don't know where they were coming from. They had no planet, no bases and yet ships kept coming till the end of the game.
I have been away from this game for quite some, but the new expansions brought me back as there is no other game like this one. Anyways I am getting myself up to speed in the game on my second small map to get back into the swing again. On this map the Dark Avatars (The evil super power guys) have popped up on a planet and set up shop. My Squirrel Empire is the most powerful race in the map, well would be if not for these guys. I have sent wave after wave of medium size powerful
Clear never worked for me the last time I tried.
Since I play as a Squirrel my ship names are: Acorn Fighter - Tiny Fighter Nut Buster - Troop Transport Nut Cracker - Medium Warship Nut Crusher - Large Warship Nut Pulverizer - Huge Battleship
I have found that building a farm overpopulates a world so a high tax rate causes revolt. Late game you can use the max level entertainment centres to counter this so you can have high pop high tax worlds. But if you build a farm you will have low approval and have to lower taxes or they will revolt. If you try to get the high lvl entertainment centers early then the AI will attack you early. Only time I have a farm on any planet early in a game is if I am using it for troop transport
Is there any way to make a game where all the AI opponents won't form 1 big massive alliance against you?
Just set victory conditions to Conquest only. Then you win only when all other races are dead.
Look at it this way....even the shortest game would last hours. Doesn't leave much potential for multiplayer.
I say leave em just as they are. The games fun, thats all that metters.....let's not nerf it all to hell please. I have seen too many fun games ruined that way.

Is there any way to have certain planets building a particular type of ship to send it to 1 rally point and other planets to send their ships to another way point. I can only seem to only be able to do all or none to a single waypoint. Maybe I am missing something.
Ideally I want the game to be so hard I need every single exploit to survive. So what your REALLY saying is you want the game to be so hard you have to cheat to win which in turns makes the game no fun at all.
1) Can a major power lose their only remaining planet to rebellion, or must it be invaded? I have had a 40-1 ratio in IPs on a last remaining planet for over 20 turns, and no revolt yet. Yes, I have conquered many races and assimilated all their Planets. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body-Qu
Most people saying the game is too easy are not at maximum difficulty and are using settings they use to win and then they say its too easy. If you feel the game is too easy then set it to suicidal and set all other races as a team at war with you. If you can beat that then you can say its too easy. You can easily make this game easy to win or impossible to win but you have to find whats right for you. If you find the game too easy then set it to a harder setting because your not at it if it's e
It takes zero effort to blow up a barge at short range. You will not become an experienced marksman from shooting at a slow-moving, unarmed barge. Ummm....you still have to hit the barge and that is experience that will add up so that if a future target can shoot back you can hit it even more. It's like shooting at a target...no marksman got t
It's easy to tell who is good and who is evil. The good side is the side that wins because they get to write the history books.
Anyway, from next game, I'll turn off this kind of victory, because it was just too easy due to the way how diplomacy is set up. One-turn gambit is just too cheap way to win. TURN OFF TECH TRADING....problem solved. Sheeesh, no need to patch the game or whine about winning this way. Just use the settings provided in the game so you can't trade
In my attempt to drain AI opponents dry I am scrapping every last penny out of them. What exactly do the influence points they can trade with you do?
- It seems that the AI is currently unwilling to *ever* trade a mining colony (at least in Beta 4B). I just offered the last place AI 80000bc for one, plus nearly all my techs and some planets, and it refused to budge. I understand that it should rate them highly, but that's just insane. As far as I can see trading these is blocked entirely.<br
wonder whether the AI does this to grow the population and to change the buildings after that? The AI does this just to piss you off so when you capture the planet you have to rebuild everything.
If there is more to it than this, such as the "They either boost a "squares" influence or produce their own influence or both." part please explain. As I stated in another thread on this same topic it produces its own area of influence. This is for certain . If you don't believe me then build one in an opponents area on influen
