Reply to What is an AAR in AARs

Whoa, i posted in this thread?? LOL Gotta be a record for length of time between post and quote!!! [e digicons];P[/e] I do agree though Marvin, it was always going to be a pipe dream for it to work the way SD intended it would. Probably why they canned it in the first place, every one's AAR would have the Drengin hating them!

Monk, you can read my edits if you so desire and respond accordingly, but i have no want or need to continue to spar with you. Just know that i won't reply, not out of disrespect, but simply because i don't want to write posts like the one i just edited. Be well. :)

Well, where there is smoke... It will interesting to see how they price this. They will have to be competitive with XBOX and PS3, (not so much Wii i wouldn't think) so that being the case what a platform your going to get for your dollar! If they do indeed launch this, i think it oucld become a very big deal, and if alienware are already involved in same way, it could indeed be a reality. What, if any affect will this have on the 720/PS4? Is it too late in their

I'll be starting a new game this week, i'll list it breifly here but i go into detail in the game discussion thread. Good to see some activity, hope to see some mo

@Bonscott I have had no issues with SC3000 over the years, have had it installed on XP, Vista 64 and have had it on win764 since release. I have the unlimited version, i wonder if it has some patch included that affected compatibility. Shame you have issues with it man, i still fire it up every months and lose myself in the city for a week or so!!

Like i didn't care for client based gamin already, read this article today that made me shiver. Rumour: Valve Possibly Making Steam Orientated Console I'm sure (provided it's done right) this will be a success, but will it be the beginning of the end for buy at retail games? It's not like that's not already on the decline.<br

I hate client based gaming, but i like your post Brad. I understand alot more now what your trying to do and why, i just wish doing so wouldn't force me to install a client. I still won't play rebellion through steam, but i can live with why you are doing it. :)

Your issues Fistalis, is why i don't like gaming clients in any form. I do see the advantages, but they are far outweighed by the possibility, as in Fistalis case, of losing access to "your" games. (your: implying ownership or license, whatever you subscribe to, i like to think when i buy a game, i own it :p) I'm not sure i get your car analogy Jafo, though i think i know what your trying to say, but i don't think it applies in this case. Anyone who has been messing with Win8, can you answer two questions? Can metro be disabled? And does the Win8 desktop retain all functionality from Win7? (gadgets, right click menu's, use of docks, to name a few) thanks.
