Hi guys and Gals, just a quick question. I'm currently playing as Thalans and just got the large hull type, which upon seeing them reminded me of a very cool ship i built once as the Yor (all DA). Now they share the same hulls, so, is it possible to copy that ship from one to another? I have the ship saved as a template so it's just a hull. I looked in the Ships folder's XML and saw nothing that i thought would make a difference. I assume the change would need to be made in the SHIPCFG files? Ar

The bottom end Intel Dual Core chips would be the way to go, in fact i'm building one of those very soon. Asus and Gigabyte both have great LGA-775 boards and should allow reasonable upgrade ability for the future. For your GPU, me i like Nvidia, couldn't tell ya much about the ATI cards, so maybe a 8800GTS, 7900GTX or 7950GT. A 8800GTX will probably be too pricey as well may the 8800GTS, but with any of these cards i couldn't see a need for SLI, unless you do some serious video editing.....<br/
I see no reason why we cant have both. We can have as many races as we like, have them both for a major race and choose who you want to play against. True explaining ships for the replicators (SG-1) that are smaller than the asgard ships will be hard, but hey, it's our mod, we can come up with any story we like. Maybe Gou'ald ships?? They did attack and conquer the System Lords.......

There has been some nice work done on ships but i cannot see if there is progress being made. We need to start something up ourselves and if there is another mod perhaps then we can collaborate or something. Hi all. There is alot of talk on many threads about a stargate mod and i see different names in alot of them. Is there anyone making amod currently that anyone knows of? Theres has been some recent talk on this thread, perhaps we all need to combine our thoughts, and if you guys have something going, where do i sign up?
Yes and no. I'll try and explain. Let's say the range of a ship with 2 basic life supports might be 2.5sct, now as i understand it that is from the furthest planet/starbase you have, which is why at times you can have two sphere's of influence on the map not connected (the line you mentioned is separating them) but yet can traverse the space in between, though without stopping in that space. You will hit a stop with the life support you are using and may need to research up that branch a little.
Well i do neither. I just use the extended range that the first colonized planet gives me. What i mean is that i colonize the planet furthest from my home that i can reach, that will increase your range on its own. If you do this in each direction, n/s/e/w, your range will increase without having to put life support on your ships freeing up room for more engines. Of course it all depends on what level and size game you are playing, i dont play small galaxies so i would say anyt

Well to answer the loading issue, i do know that it was vastly improved in a later patch, so once you get your serial issue fixed and get the latest patch (1.5) you should be right in that regard. As to the issue with your serial, the flood of answers that follow mine will no doubt tell you that emailing Stardock is still going to be your best avenue of resolving this. Sorry to tell you what you already knew, but that is going to be your best bet, try these emails. <br
If you conquer a planet with a Gate Terminal you would have the bonuses of the alien terminal Yes you would, but i don't think that is all together bad. When the Go'uld conquer a planet they add whatever technology and planetary goodies there are to themselves (not including slaves of course).
