oh yeah and damn drengins! *fist shake*
Lord Mark
all of the above. AND focus intially on your economy and prduction (i.e research the economic, production and reasearch (not all the way up though) branches first) early game so by mid game you can start getting ahead in reasearch and in military. you will be a lil behind in tech at the start (since you focus your reasearch on economy and production) but if you set it up right (cough neutality learning centers cough) then you should be able to catch up in reasearch preety quickly by mid game as
Hey now. I'm a math major compsci minor and all I have to say to you is that your major wouldn't exist without math. major would exists, speciallization wouldnt oh and if not for math then we wont have the wonderful galciv II that we all love <img sr
it's obvious that you need a more powerful (and thus larger) engine to push a larger amount of mass the same distance at the same speed as a smaller amount of mass. well im not saying that thats not true (the engines part) but often times the obvious is not always true <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif
well i really didnt say that... all i said was you cant apply traditional newtonian physics to space travel since we are dealing with speeds greater than the speed of light...
and nobody mentioned anything about combat, my comment was made as an overview of the situation about space travel in general Your argueing with a Math major-physics minor. Work isnt just what i stated. If you wanted i could explain dot products and cross products. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Laug
well, SD's GalCivII rules and thats that!
ok here is the answer.. remember the UP law that allow transports to have some level of offence? well when the transports start to shoot, the AI shoots at it. i just realized this a while ago when the AI shot the transport even if i had it fleeted with a dreadnaught with doomrays
anyways guys, you cannot appy newtonian physics at this level. here you need to apply relativity since we are dealing with speeds faster than the speed of light. newtonian physics is only "correct" at our current technology since we are dealing with speeds much much less with the speed of light and therefore the relative error is very low. thats why you study mechanics first before you
just curious really, what if you turn off two stargates while a ship was travelling between it?
i knew it was smarter! (thought i was getting dumb or something). before beta 1.2 i could easily destroy any civ on challening... was starting to get boring really... but then, i downloaded the pacth and started a new metaverse game and i was like "did the YOR just took 3 of my planets in a single turn? " it went downhill from there. after that tried another game and now it was the drengin?! yay!
*bump* oh and bt they way, when i tried to edit thepost above, it said i didnt have acess?!
hmm, just wonderin really did they tweak the AI on the recent beta? it seem to be more effecient on destroying me just my luck, they fixed the metaverse bug but i cant post my most recent game coz i got destoyed either way, great job with the beta (if you indeed made the ai a tad smarter) <img src="http://im
oh and of course the hulls tech would give you more ships coz you have more hulls
i see well thats good to hear
hmmm im using the latest patch yes, but only 2 out of 3 games have been flagged. im sure i saved on all 3. i mean 9 races and gigantic galaxy? of course ill save
*bump*
can anyone tell me what events flags a game as a chea" metaverse game. i been posting my scores in metaverse just recently but it said that cheats have been detected i dont even know what the cheat codes are. unless of course creating a custom race is a cheat. help please
yes having the dreadlords in the regular game would be nice also give them more logistics too for added fun
