I think the makers always forget that the people who bought this game in the first place aren't gonna answer "we won't buy it unless it has mplayer" since those players won't be registred on this site. You have players wich bought it because, or even though, it didn't have mplay. The others are out there! And it's a very big market. Personally I was very confused after I bought this game and saw it didn't have hotseat to play with my friends wich is the kind of games we always play. I'

Right on Kanaric, right on! And sgsmitty64 , you are obviously not the kind to play this mplayer, no problem. But people like me and Kanaric DO play it for months on end. Guess what, all my friends do too. It goes to an extend that we start a second game already with those that dropped out
I'm with you on this Binnister. Specially on the mp-thing. They talk about 10$ and then they poll for 20$ without giving choice on how much people would buy it if it was only 10$. If the polls had any actual significance then they would ask 'cuz if the sales would be more then doubble on 10$ it would be worth it. Now they justed wanted a lot of people to say: no I won't pay 20$ you freaks! I say the poll the first day and already knew the answer. Not fair..
Under the tiles? You mean like metro-stations?
I had soms crash-problems on the demo, updated to latest omega-drivers when I bought the game and it hasn't crahsed even once. I don't even experience the problems with saving games, doesn't take more then 10-20sec. here. I run P4 2.8ghz with 1Gb memory and an ati 9600 pro graphics card... nothing fancy really and it works.
It has been proven that there have been oceans on mars. Will you deny that this can happen again in the future? Remember the game doesn't take place here and now, or is on any level remotly connected with real life except for a couple of names. If it bugs you, go mod it
I agree on most things you said except that wormhole thingy. It could be more usefull but it's just a counter imo to the good stuff you can get. Sometimes you get little extra's and sometimes you get bugged by a ship being sent away. They can do something with it but it's ok. Your second point is the one I concur most with. It would be cool if planets had different habitat-possibilities for different species like Pax. I don't know about pro
cool
I bet you're the kind of person who can have a teriffic time talking to yourself
Lol, so stupid
FYI There's a button on your keyboard that sais 'PrintScrn' and it means Print Screen Push it, open paint (or word or photoshop or whatever) and select Edit->Paste (or ctrl-V). Then you can save it and you have a screenshot. This is the simplest way but also not the best Quality. Try google for better ways/programs for doing this. GL.</font
A hell of a lot cheaper then your mac I've heard of emulators but they mostly suck or give lots of problems. I've even read about some people trying to put a windows platform on mac *shivvers* For about 700$ you can have a solid gaming pc (since you won't be buying the monitor/keyboard/mouse). If you want it to live though, better not connect it to th
Pax imperia was made in 1993 (same year as masters of orion). It was TBS, it had an extremely cool ship-designer (specially for that time) AND it had multiplayer support for hotseat and lan up to 16players!! I'm sure other multi TBS's excist. There are lots of people who just don't mind the waiting in between 'cuz they're sharing a game with a mate. I don't want to play on a server, I just want to play with friends. I'm a social player, I don't like si
There you go, can't buy a Mac now huh
It has been said several times but: 1. Let the arrows scroll the map instead of moving ships. 2. Let the minimap follow. 3. Launch all-button.
I've been playing this kind of games with a friend of mine since Pax Imperia 2. We always play on hotseat (either at one of our houses or we mail eachother the savegame and take turns (sometimes prolonging a game up to months!)) or on direct IP. I understand multiplaying with lots of human players on a server would not be good to this kind of game 'cuz of the time-limits. But I'm sure there are lots of true fans of the genre who take their time like us and would love to play it on hotseat one s
