While I have been very pleased with GC II I´d like to see more options about how tech trading is handeled. Tech trading, as it stands now, is very tedious micromanagement and can be exploited while the "No tech-trading" almost entire kills of diplomacy. Some sort of inbetween option that could be chosen from start called "Limited tech-trading" perhaps? Allowing just a few or a pre-selected number of techs to be traded / year. Or then the number of techs that can

I´m also a fan of the Civilization series and have only recently started playing GalCiv II. The tech-trading is unfortunately quite a bit worse in GalCiv than in CIV for a few obvious reason. a) The tech-trading screen is much less informative in GalCiv than in CIV (for instance, you do not see how many recearh-points a certain tech is worth, nor can you while still trading, navigate other menues for more information about wheater a trade is a good deal or not like you can d
Actually this is not funny at all. I just played a game were there was two Altarian republic races. Both having the default color of their borders, both having the default logos, both having the default style of ships etc. It´s just awful. The only difference between the races were that they were led by different leaders. One by the default female character and the second by the option
Well, I´m an newbie to GalCiv II (played a lot of GalCiv I, though) so cannot say that much but even with my limited experience I have to say that I´m quite dissapointed in how A.I is handling matters. Expecially warfare. Me too play with no tech-trading. (as I think that tech-trading only ends up with extreme micromanagement were I have to check available techs from possibly A.I-trading partners every turn so that no other races gets the benefit of trading the techs witch I also migh
I remember that in GalCiv I the flagship was useful forever since anomalies kept on re-spawning. So maybe they changed that. I´d personally would prefer having the anomalies to re-spawn but dimishing over time so that at some point there would be no more of them. This due to the fact that otherwise all the anomalies are gone in a few turns if playing on a small map and after that the ship itself is useless.
Hi, First post. I was wondering a bit about the starbases also. I´m still only playing my very first "real" game. (well...at least If trying to win a influence victory by playing the Yor actually can be called that...) In any case.. I happened to get the entire corner to the bottom-left of the map all to myself. Deep, deep into my territory an A.I sudde
