umm... are you going to continue your story Nasty? posting two images doesn't say a whole lot about stability and the such. and i'm shocked that you can get AiBooster to work. i've had nothing but problems with it in the past. but then again, i never really liked to rely on a program to do my clocking. anyways, tell us more. and some pics of the rig wouldn't hurt neither. actually, everyone that wants to, should.

is there another link for the download? the one that was posted keeps stalling on me. EDIT. NM.. i finally got it.
!!So Sarissi and any one else what you think of the ASUS CROSSHAIR MOBO ???Nasty
nice board, but it has one major design flaw. it doesn't support an intel proc. ;) i myself went with the maximus formula se. very strong board and the clocking features totally blew me away. i can take my e6600 up to 5.5ghz (liquid cooled), stable 24/7. but i generally don't run it that fast (just when i feel a need to bench). 3.6ghz is the current setting i run. <b
are we finally allowed to use custom mods as well as the races?

Please don't. I don't want to have to sort out bugs caused by mods from the bugs in my code.
oh... ok. how about custom ships? or is this considered a 'mod' as well?

fallout series (except for tactics) oblivion and shivering isles simcity 3ku and 4 GC2 series
Speaking of Fallout 1 and 2, I tried installing Fallout 2 on my dual core system: As soon as I clicked Install, the mouse cursor vanished and I had a lockup that I had to use the Reset button. Reply to Map editor in Beta Reports

the map editor totally lags my system out. hardware is not an issue, or shouldn't be as it is all top of the line. software? chances are as i'm on XP 64. i can post\pm full system specs if it helps.

um.. yeah.. i spoke too soon. i forgot to make one settings change, from economists to universalists. and once again, i lose money from the start. oh well... back to DA till it's fixed.

26 Replies 9,787 Views

well, a re-install fixed things. chose everything as i have in the past, and now i'm in the green at the start of a new game. so something must not have liked my settings or something like that.
If you change none of your sliders and buy nothing, it'd take you over 200 turns to run out of money completely. You have a lot of time build economic buildings, morale buildings, grow your population, colonize new worlds, etc, and solidify your economy so you're making a positive income.

26 Replies 9,787 Views

not to start a fight, but i do believe that i am loosing. i shouldn't have to adjust any of the sliders at the start of a new game just to make money. but i'm re-instlling right now. only getting 1500kb/sec from sd :(
Hi! before the last patch, i made about 12 bc at the start of a new game. i patch my game and now i lose 7 bc right from the start. If you haven't noticed, it's the ships' maintenance that's dragging your economy down. Seems StarDock again over-nerfed something: re-introduced maintenance for unarmed ships AND increased overall ship maintenance about three-fold. <IMG id=ImageResize_Image_4 src="http://images.stardock.com/smiles/Mad.gif" onload=Im

i generally play normal. before the last patch, i made about 12 bc at the start of a new game. i patch my game and now i lose 7 bc right from the start. no turns into the game. it just don't seem right to me. i haven't changed anything in how i play as the terrans. all my settings were from before the patch and nothing was changed after. and i do give myself an economy bonus of 1 point when i do set up my races by the way. i could try another race, but that would be li

yes, they are both the starts of new games. one large. one immense. not one turn played in either game. look at the bottom left of both images. notice how i lose money right from the start. once again... not one turn played.

26 Replies 9,787 Views

since the last beta update for Twilight, i do nothing but lose money right from the start of the game. and i mean right from the start. i don't even get a chance to play 20 turns without going broke. i start a new game and i am automatically loosing bc per turn. then it gets stupid from there. a game i started last night, i was only 10 or so turns in, and was loosing -120 bc per turn. i had 4 planets in my control and only one colony ship was in production. i had no special bui

not that it's any of my business, but may i suggest using PC Wizard (same developer as cpu-z), rather than cpu-z. it's much more accurate and there are so many more things you will find out about your system, as well as apply a few little tweaks if you choose. another thing i like to use is the site [link="http://www.pcpitstop.com"]PC PitStop[/link]. though there are probably programs out there that do the same, i like this site as it is generally bang on about what i my current rig is.

i found this to happen in both DA and TA. with DA i was using a 1950xtx and with TA i am using a 2900xt. this happens on 99% of the ships i build. but to me it's only a cosmetic thing as i am zoomed out most the time while playing. and Kryo, do i mail in just the ships or the save as well?
