vista 64 versus map editor

i just installed vista ultimate 64 ( i know.. bad thing to do), and i keep getting this error (image below) when i try to use the map editor. i couldn't use it in xp 64 either. do i have to set permissions to get this thing to work or is it not supported in 64bit OS's¿

I was getting the same message. Updating your DirectX drivers to the most current version may fix this. It worked for me.
