Just last night i found my DL cds and just had to play. I dont own DA or TA. I said to myself "atleast i get to play with 2.0,should have lots of improvements and whatnot as i havnt played in a couple years" as last time i was around i was under the impression that 2.0 would be out for all games. I was sad to see its still 1.53. Is it really to much work? Or why didnt that happen anyway? Having said that, give all your love to the AI though the UI could use some love too by the sou

Anyone have any idea what this new victory condition could be?
Say the galaxy was a lot smaller, like Medium. It's fairly early in the game---I assume that still the capital world is nothing but a world with a crown on it...o_o
Oh i think in that case they sure feel it(i know i would), especially if they would have otherwise had a gifted start(bonus tiles etc).
Man do the GC gods favor you! Id be stoked about just getting the 2 300%+ tiles...actually even just the one manufacturing tile would make me feel lucky/content. Is this just happening since TA and/or is it just exclusive to you?
That happend to me twice before, hitting the 'space' key fixed it up. Seemed like the comp was taking along time to think of something gettin itself in a bit of a rut. Oh if you didnt know hitting 'space' speeds up the end turn nicely. Dono if that will fix this problem though.
Hm, yeah i use wmp with an alienware skin so maybe thats why it eats up the little bit of resources i have when i play.
Sounds like you've got some sort of issue going on, then. The music should loop the entire track, and should change under certain conditions (war, peace, etc).
Yeah im pretty sure it was the kinda of music i changed it to that made me go insane with the 'looping'(stuff like infected muchroom and astral projection). I thought it would work out pr
It is called common sense. Influence = tourism $$$$. Influence you know the color of your civ. If you play on smaller maps it is easy to hurry up and cover more than half of the map with your influence, since tourism is tied to how much influence you have. It is easy to get a ton of tourism $$$ early in the game. On gigantic or immense it is much harder to got tourism $$$$.
No one is arguing that. I think your missing the point.
Building on that: movement is induced when two particles exert a force (attractive or repulsive) on each other, right? Therefore, if there were such a particle that was absolutely motionless, that would mean that it is not interacting with any other particles in any way. Which would mean that we would have no way to detect such a particle, if there was no way to react in a predictable way with it. Such a particle would be, essentially, massless; it might as well not exist, it has no inter
Ah, fix up invasions sure but dont make them last more than a turn! Remember its Galactic Civilizaions DA not Invade Planets AD(all day).
I changed all the music in my gc game to sadly find out that it just keeps looping everytime a new window opens!(It drove me insane btw) Now i have to reinstall gc2 so i can get the original music back that only served to make me sleepy! The only reason i dont use wmp is that my comp isnt that great and it causes alot of slow down in the game.(Otherwise it runs great with all the backround stuff off) How hard can it be to stop looping music
Starcraft is still my fav RTS game to date, i do get bored after a couple games of it now but there were alot of good times... between SC2 and GC2 i wont have time to eat or sleep lol.
Wowawoowa
Personally I am in complete shock! How dare a company actually care what their user base thinks? Normally we are told.. "Yeah.. its out but there are some bugs we might get to sometime after the holidays... Deal..." Instead we get (from stardock).. "Ok, were on time and could release it but we want your permission to put some extra work into it to make it even better. If not, then thats cool too." When was the last time, if ever, did a software maker check with the fans
Take a ship with a cable, attach to big rock, head towards planet till close enough to release cable and sling shot it into the planets atmosphere. lol, why would you strap a hyperdrive engine to a rock? Also how would you imagine controlling said rock?
Dont we more or less imagine time? I find it interesting how often our sense of time changes with moods and such. Is it proven other things have a sense of time besides dark/light cycles?
Nah, just bumpem into the atmosphere and down they go!
Terrans got Ethics way b4 me or anyone in my last game.
I dont see much a reason to release it sooner. I havent preordered TA and more time to get preview coverage would be welcome! Also i think introducing the civs in away that really lets them get tested out and lets each have the spotlight for a bit would be a very good idea and a fun one. Dont get greedy people let it get tested more.
The iconians were my fav race in DL now they cant do anything... I also wanna know why the torians have the pop bonus instead of the thalans. From a story point of view it makes sense that the iconians are a little weaker but then it doesnt make sense for the torians(or any race) to have more pop growth than the thalans. So it seems to have nothing to do with anything and im just lost on this one.
For example, the Iconian Refuge's are supposedly very creative, so why not +10
Try using Notepad to open the files.
You dont even wanna know the gibberish that gives me. Anyway that doesnt belong here so ill ask elsewhere. Thx anyway.
I wouldnt mind being able to turn on/off each event individually, maybe under gameplay options. If that were the case then go crazy add anything you want. lol
1. If you're good already, you should be penalized for deciding on an evil option since that would be out of character or against the ingrained thoughts of the people whereas you should be rewarded for maintaining your "good" standards. On the flip side, if you're evil, picking a good option should be penalized, but choosing evil would be "the norm".
I like the sound of that. I dont think ive ever come across a good choice being benificial and neutral choices dont really
Just look to that game for how to set it up.
I think theres pretty close to 0 people playing multi-player on that game. I couldnt imagine why.
Ok thanks for the help. In most forums I would have been flamed to all hell for asking about something like this.
Now thats silly.
