Organic hulls would be cool content for an expansion. I'd add an organic weapon line rather than topping off all of the weapon lines with organic looking weapons, though. Cool idea.

An "argumentum ad hominem" essentially takes the form that "You are wrong because of X irrelevant fact about you." Calling someone an idiot, or a stupid child, or something else is not an ad hominem unless it is a premise of one's argument. "You're wrong because you're a stupid child" is an ad hominem. "You're a stupid child because you're relying on logical fallacies to support your argument" is not. You might want to go look that
Empyrean... you really need to research more diplomacy techs. Telling people they speak drivel, that they're stupid, childish, calling their opinions fallacies.... First of all, if you had any idea what a straw man was in the first place, you'd know that it is a logical fallacy, not just a sm
Well, just let me stupidly and childishly waste your time again. You made my straw man comment apply to you. Fantastic. This place is worse than the UK on Guy Fawkes Night when it comes to churning those things out. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="mb-Body-Q
-tech description is sometimes ridiculous there are some tech description like "woot" "wroom" or similar that doesn't give immersivity to the game Reading the tech descriptions is a hoot. The flavor text is fantastic. The head researching describing one of the mass driver techs by saying "w00t" made me sm
I'm not actually refering to this particular issue of alignment, but rather the pro's and con's offered SOLELY in the random scenario's presented in-game where the player has to make a choice and hopefully receive some sort of immediate PQ, etc., benefit out of the deal. If you're looking for instant gratif
Why not have a race with inherent, unalterable penalties that make them suck compared to everyone else? Wouldn't that be just great? I bet that would be a popular feature. If it were possible to recreate the Yor using the custom race option, there wouldn't be any problem. As it is, they're just a better template to start from than other races because of their inherent bonuses. If miniaturization and logistics were subject to customizatio
No, "it's got to be balanced" is not unnecessary. It adds to the gameplay, maintaining a standard of fairness that sets GalCiv2 apart from every other game I can think of. If you don't care for a level playing field, that's fine. A lot of people who bought this game do, especially considering that a non-cheating challenging AI is so unique. Different races start with different techs, so the Terrans not starting with SC isn't a balance issue
Ok Spearchucker, that is completely unnecessary. One of the really nice features of this game is that the AI doesn't cheat; that it is bound by the same rules as the player. That makes a win or a loss a lot more meaningful, because you earned it either way. All this "damnit, it's a game" garbage doesn't hold water. Of course it's a game, but that in and of itself is no reason not to make it more fun. In fact, because "it's a game" things
