What the heck is this!?! Frogboy is a developer right? Then why is he thinking like a human!?! It....doesn't.....make.....sense..... Gah, it's hurting my head trying to process how one can combine customer service and game development. All sarcasm aside, Stardock has gone above and beyond the call of game development with their approach to this title. It's spectacularly fun, well supported, and reasonably priced. Frogboy's next goal should be to publish a book entitled "Entertainm

I thought starbases had to be 3 parsecs away, how did you get them so close to each other?
Along the line of starbases, I just played a game where the terrans built 2 immediately adjacent to each other, within 1 parsec of each other. Anyone else experience this?
From an economic standpoint, I've already paid $45+ dollars for a game that lacks multiplayer, while I have bought games for less that do include multiplayer. I think $20 is a little bit on the pricey side for adding something that most people would consider standard. Maybe if it were priced around $12 - $15 I'd consider it, but the chief idea behind multiplayer is the fact that I'd want to play my friends, and if I explain to them "Yeah, b
I always feel bad for them. I set up diplomatic relations (economic/tech trading), but if it looks like another civilization is going to invade their planet, I execute a "mercy killing". Their planet is better in my hands anyway, eh? eh?
"dude, I was declaring war to try and force a vote to change the leading party " I may be wrong on this, but I assumed that a vote before declaring war was to see if your senate would allow you to attack an enemy. I did not think that it impacted who the ruling party was?
Hey! It updated after X hours. I thought it would update at the same time as personal stats, but I guess not.
This all depends on your strategy. Do you play diplomatic? Do you attempt cultural conquest? Are you more militaristic? You can't really attempt to research all techs and end up with big ships before the game ends. If you're really looking for big guns, I would recommend researching up about 2 or 3 levels on the Technology branch of the tree, along with planetary improvements, and anything else that is going to increase production values
According to my metaverse stats, my character is credited with 2 games, but my empire is only credited with one. Is this some sort of glitch? To see what I mean, go here Link Also, if anyone is looking to join a fledgling empire, feel free to join. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
The Republic of Zim metaverse empire is now open for enrollment! This is an empire for those who like to play but do not have the time to aggressively compete. There are a lot of great players in high-scoring empires out there, and the prowess for the game they exhibit is phenomenal. However, if you're more of a laid-back gamer with a "Win or Lose, it's how you play the game" attitude, then feel free to join the Republic of Zim and just ha
I said this on another topic. Your AI allies need to act like allies. I allied with the Drath while the altarians were at war with me. 2 turns later the drath and altarians were allied, and the altarians still hated me. Neither seemed to see anything wrong with this set up. So, I'm pleading with the altarians to stop. The arcaeans are contacting me every other turn to say "The altarians are getting too powerful, they must be stopped". I
My beef is that I was in a game being double teamed by the Yor (they're evil, so I suppose it's only natural to attack in the first place) and the Altarians (I don't know why these guys don't like me, but they hate me consistently in every game). I allied with the Drath, who then promptly ignored my "threats" that they should help me to stop the Altarians. 3 turns later, the Altarians and the Drath allied, but the Altarians were still knocking me aro
I play neutral and re-ed centers are buildable, so it's not evil-exclusive
I can appreciate the need for sensors - surely it must be an advantage to be able to see great distances - but I really haven't found a practical reason for researching them instead of, say, anything else. Sure, I could tech up my sensors and see my enemies coming from 1 million parsecs away.....or (and this may be a longshot here) I could spend the RP teching up weapons so that when they do get here I'll actually be able to fend them off.
Steal a page from MOO II for tooltips. Every button in that game was righ-clickable and gave a detailed description when right-clicked. I think that's better than the "hover and wait" method. It also allows for more detailed descriptions. With hover-and-wait, if the descriptions are too large they become a nuissance. With right-clicks the info in descriptive but still convenient.
