i had to do a complete reinstall of my OS and i am in the process of reinstalling all of my gal civ games , what i want to know is can i reinstall them from my archive folder ? i remmember seeing something about this in a post a good while back but i don't know if it's possible or not ( as i can't remmember where the post was ) . any help would be great . <span style="font-size: small
seen some good ideas but i would like to see somethings via stargate (not universe) as in : working stargate tech (reach a certain level to gain access) : ability to colonize other galaxys in the local group ( uses alot of resouces if able for it ) : colonisation fleets with a number of city ships ( 4 or 5 ) with armed fleets for protection at startup : as in stargate the gates connect to the home galaxy when
the 1.1 update rocks ,,the game is the most stable i have seen it ,, havent had even one crash of any sort ,, but ,, where is the option to go to war with a minor race ? a number of minor races in the game i am playing at the moment have mining bases on resources that i want to get a hold of but i am told that i have to break an alliance with them to do so ,, BUT there is no option to do so ,,, any chance that in the next update ( 1.2 ) you could include it , ? also could
when i was playing last night i came across a resource that i wanted but a minor race had already got there ahead of me ,when i went to destroy it ,it told me that i would have to break my alliance with them ,but i never made an alliiance with them . when i went to the diplamatic screen there was no option to make or break an alliance like on the major races screen .. i am using the beta as the latest update,,
well so far so good ,, i havent had any major probs with the game now ,, a odd graphical glitch here and there but the game is playing ok and i can now get back to ruling the entire galaxy ,,,,,, mwa ha ha ha hah ,
there is a small glitch in the beta with the mining SB ,when selecting a update you see a white transperent box for the symbol of the upgrade..its the only one i have come across so far and thats after 3 hours of play , hopefully its the only one that shows up,,
this is an update to my previous post about starforce being a possible cause for some of the problems ,,, it looks like it maybe ,, i had removed the starforce drivers after uninstaling GC2 did a restart and reinstalled the game ,, after updating it to 1.0x and trying it ,,it locked up but in a completly different area only once ,,,, and this was after 1 & ahalf hours of play ( big diference from 5 to 10 mins) ,,i installed the beta update and
is it the european ver or the us ver you have ??? if its the euro you need a second code and its probley that its looking for,,
i was just wondering what the guys at SD have to say about this ,, if they have checked out the possibility that SF is interfering with the game and causing some of the probs ??????

my graphics card has a heat sink but i have a blower fan sitting right ontop of the sink pulling air over it and blowing it out the back ,,, i have 6 other fans all temp regulated ( 3 sucking in & 3 blowing out) not counting the psu's 3 plus the cpu & nb fans ,, my system always stays nice and cool ,, it can get a little load but i dont mind that ,, ,,, i have a post releating to starforce you might want to look at ,, its called possible cause ,it
i like that idea chaosD but i would add that there should be a limit on how many carriers or carrier/fighter bays you are allowed ,,all down to logistics ,, but it would be a boost to the game ,,
i was doing a bit of research on games crashing and i came across a disturbing prob concerning starforce,, now i know this game has no protection but from what i found out ,it seems that if you have a game installed on your pc that has starforce as its protection it interfears with other games that dont have its protection ,... i have come across it on several webforums ,,there are thousands of gamers giving out about this where they cannot play their
the sound card drivers are as up to date as can get ,, the page file size was a test to see if it would help in any way (didnt) ,same with the screen res,, i will check the graphic card out , getting a new one is out for the moment , need to save up for it ..moneys tight ,, tanks for the input
i have a problem like all the rest ,,,GC2 keeps on freezing and taking the whole pc with it ,, a total lock out of all systems , even ctrl alt del wont work or alt f4 either ,, the only way to get my pc back is to reboot via the restart button,,this is a great game ( civ fan here ) with huge potential in it BUT all these crashes ( 4 in 1 hour at one point ) are just driving me around the bend , the last crash i had just clicked on new game and it w
hi guys,new here ,, i was wondering about the money cheat ,if any one was having probs with it working, i have tried trainers , changin the path with the " cheat " added to the path end with origainal installed and with update installed ,,, having no luck at all getting it to work ,, the money cheat is the only one i am after as the others are of no interest to me ,,, can anyone help ?
