I look at SB as forts in space and I think they should be powerful. They are a players power projection tool and as such they should reflect the players capabilities. They are also a first line of defense. As far as DS9 and SG:A those bases are none military. Food for thought...

I think the Super Dom fleets should be made of your second tier ships or some equal level ships at that time. Super Spy - just plan sucks. Again as I stated in another thread, the spy elements for the game need serious TLC. Sup War is pretty good I think as it is. I always use it. Sup Org is is pretty good as well.
Unfortunately TA is feature-frozen at this point. But maybe that's something that could be looked at for 2.0.
Since the release date has been pushed back a couple months now is adding new features back on the table?

Great. The more the better. Sadly enough all the excel tables, reference manuals and concept matrices have disappeared into the digital void at least on my end. So a lot of rework will have to be done. I'm glad to have as many people involved as possible.

I really like the idea of converting the modules to point based and have them auto advance with your tech. There should also be a minor upgrade cost associated with this style however.
1# I mostly agree with theis as far as changing +25% Tech to a fixed text point value I'd say make it a random text point value but with in a reasonable range so it doesn't allow you to get major techs so much quicker. 2# I totally agree with this one. 3#Again I agree not because it allows cheesy tactics but because it's unrealistic for the invasion tactics not to cause any damage if the invasion fails. 4#I would like the option to start with no ships, so

Oddly enough I have been invaded several times and it never crashes on me. I am playing with a heavily modified game however. Additionally I have a mod for invasions also enabled.

I just tried another game for the past few hours and I had to give up. The pain was too much. I also always play with slow tech and no trade to boot. On immense if one does not specialize in econ almost exclusively and from the start when playing a full-boat of AI set to "intelligent" the game is nearly a lost cause from the get go. I really think the maintenance costs need to scale with galactic size or better yet, number of planets divided by number of players added to the

Apparently the people I sent the files to vanished from the community. I have sent several emails to the old addresses I used but the mail comes back or is never responded to. Anyway, I will be restarting things again soon with Gauntlet as my partner in crime if everything goes as planned. Sadly enough I dont have the original files anymore (all that work wasted) so I will have to start over.

I agree they are way to easily destroyed for the investment necessary to develop them. I would like to see at least 100% increase in stats in two or even three more levels.

Some real nice ideas there Zarguon. The tourism, profiteering and intel sides of the house sorely need developing.

Still sitting back quietly waiting for this title as I have been for what seems like years... In the interium I shall contemplate Frogboy's secret plan for world domination by recreating the great game of yesteryear such as MoO and MoM what is next methinks???

Count me in this camp as well. I have played several games as different races as well as many custom ones and I simply cant get the econ stable unless I tax the hell out of everyone and keep a very small fleet. The only way I have been able to succeed is if I focus on trade especially with the minors but for some strange reason everyone starts to declare war on me after I start to pull ahead econ wise every time. I feel like I'm beating my head against the wall anymore. Moreover I like

I basically posted this in the other thread but I decided to add it here. I did not see this thread first. I completely agree with the race emergence suggestion in the other thread. I would also like an option to set emergence cycles and number of races to boot. I also like the startup suggestion but with only one colony ship. I support the idea of a "Go to Colony" command. I would like to see an expanded UP system and the ability to have "factions" that only races of the

This is great news to be sure. SD seriously rocks in my opinion. Brad for President! Anyway, regarding the ideas already offered I completely agree with the race emergence suggestion. Very nice and I got a copy the other day - exceptional value bar none. :CONGRAT: My thanks to all who worked on this package. MoO may well have just been dethroned. :HOT: BTW: There are a couple minor typos in the review. :SURPRISED:
