I had to stop using them because I got addicted to spore ships. Any time I made a custom race after that I made sure they had access to spore ships. I had to go cold turkey and force myself to play something else for a while. Reading this thread is bringing the feeling back. Aaaah...

You guys have out done yourselves again. If you don't win expansion of the year again my head is going to explode.
Ahhhh... The Politcal Machine. So that's where the graphics came from for the example mod they made a while back.
Well done Stardock, I can use the forums again. No more timed out pages... huzzah!
I'd rather they finish TA than release it with bugs and missing features. Some people can't download fixes at home. PS - Stardock, if you are still taking requests for features, can you please add a small button to the upgraded ship design description window, so we can clear all of the text quickly. I hate having to hold down the delete key until its all gone. (I never use descriptions because you get to see hardly any of the text in other windows - a useful descriptive name for the shi
Its still in Beta, so it won't be for a while yet.
I love that event. I just get rid of my military and switch to getting tech. The pirates blow up your enemies' fleets as well, so you're not in too much danger. If you have good enough engines, you can let the priates do the work for you as well. Just make fast transports and rush enemy worlds when the pirates take out all their defenders.
Keep working until its finished. Don't release it incomplete. Some of us have enough trouble downloading patches, never mind extra features that should have been in from the beginning.
Someone I used to know had plenty of money but still pirated games - simply because he was a thief (same as all pirates). There is no justification for it whatsoever. If you want to try before you buy, play a demo. So you're afraid you may not like the full version? Cry me a river - if you can't pay, don't play. Some people are totally ignorant of what intellectual property is and the good that it does. They think they're entitled to have it for free just because its not a tangible thi
Yeah, the economy needs to be a bit more transparent. Too much goes on behind the scenes. The Wiki page doesn't have all the answers. For instance: Tourism, which provides income based on your influence and total galaxy population. Ok... so its based on influence and total galaxy population. Then what? How exactly does influence affect it? Same with general population. From the Tourism page: <div class="Article_
I liked your views. I felt the same about most things, especially the need for some more ship components. Boarding Pods would be fun, to see if you can capture ships, or a Stealth module, or some kind of Stasis weapon (freezes an enemy ship, so it can't move, attack or be attacked).
From Brad himself: Read the rest here. All of us consumers paid good money at Best Buy or Amazon for your game, Brad. Please reinvest some of that wonderful cash we gave you, several million dollars, and add multiplayer. We would appreciate it. We like your game. But your in the big leagues now. Quit whining about 1994 1200 baud modems. This is the 21st century. We have high
Nah, Multiplayer would be rubbish. Well done to Stardock for not selling out and forgetting the large number of SP gamers out there.
The devs have previously said that Mega Events don't appear at random, they occur when certain situations arise. Its entirely possible that the same is true of the minor events, and colonization events. If so, the fact that you were using the same save over and over again might ruin your results. It would be better to try many more games, and colonize different kinds of planets, at different times, when your empire is in a different state. Try that for a few hundred games, and then get back to u
I find it amusing that the poster suggests they enjoy giving developers feedback, but decide to stick the message in the forums rather than send an e-mail, or PM. Even if I suspend disbelief and assume that this is intended soley for the devs, it seems unreasonable to expect no criticism. I do love it when people who apparently don't want to know other people's opinions, think everyone else wants to know theirs. Its also pretty hilarious that everyone who starts one of these t
<--- Wishes he could get Transport Tycoon to work on XP and his newer video card.
Playing without the expansion would make it easier to learn the ropes, because it gets a bit more complicated with all the new stuff. However, the expansion turns it into a much more fun (and richer) game.
I enjoyed the game a lot more before they nerfed the tile bonuses.
LOL, is it just me that skips any posts with bible verses in them? I mean, its a lot of copy & pasting effort, but its all for nothing. Its completely meaningless to someone who doesn't already believe/care. Might as well copy the list of ingredients off tha back of a jar of curry sauce. It would make as much sense.
If its a multiplayer pack, I hope its MP only. Don't mix it with single player stuff.
What would you pay good money for in an expansion? (The unofficial inquiry) Pretty much ANYTHING EXCEPT MULTIPLAYER. Its would be such a massive feature, and I wouldn't use it. It would render any expansion a waste of money. I'd prefer them to cram the pack with new single player features, ship parts, and new flags/leaderheads.
ROFLMAO! YOU FILLED IT IN!!?? LOL!! ^^ I reported mine as spam. Surveys suck.
Bah, warming shwarming. I look out my window at the chavvy kids sitting outside, drinking, swearing, and discarding their trash in my front garden while they poke fun at passers by, and I wonder why I should do anything to make the world a better place for their generation. You can't save the planet forever, because one day the sun's going to eat it anyway. Might as well admit defeat and enjoy ourselves while we can. Besides, we could get hit by an asteroid or invaded by lizard people
You're all nuts. The Flying Spaghetti Monster is where its at.
