damn - $10?? :O Shame I don't have a credit card Indeed... Sucks to have hundreds on a bank account, but unable to spend it in things I like cause they all require credit cards ... while we don't even need to buy on credit per se.

If that would've happened, we would've had Rant phase: - The first Civ game with an actual computer algorithm worthy of the name Artificial Intelligence - I would've saved 10 bucks on a MP option that doesn't even work anyway (if you're behind a fixed router at least) - Civ IV would actually have patches coming out - We'd have a working game before we'd hearing abo

I actually thing the tactical AI in Civ IV is better - I've seen the computer recognize and exploit my weaknesses rather ruthlessly in that, whereas the CPs in GalCiv II tend to just charge through the front door. The AI in Civ IV is actually quite bad to be honest, specifically in battle. I remember last game I

I don't get the console rage to be honest... Very occasionaly I do play a FPS game, but I can hardly see how a joypad can measure up to a mouse and keyboard for those kind of games ...

I don't understand either why long games should yield more points. I just won a challenging game with a political victory in just under 5 years of gameplay. So if I'd had have dragged the game, I'd have had more points ? I don't see the point really ... Looking at the charts, the strategy for high scoring seems to be "gigantic map" (understandable), "very evil" (less understandable), conquest and long games (don't understand this at all)

I doubt you won at masochistic. But then again, I played at normal and it shows up as challenging ... though I'm starting to doubt I mistakingly set the diff one level higher and still won. Not that sure. I did play with the Altarian race and not the Arceans though. *mod* Oh, on the forum it doesn't show up at all ?

Hey, I've been trying to find where to edit the difficulty settings ingame but so far I haven't been able to find anything useful while scanning through all the XML files. So I got a question. Is it possible to modify the game, either by a modder or by Stardock, same for me, to make it possible to play against the intelligent AI, but with economic handicaps. Right now the difficulty settings are like this : Fool : No ada

Some basic stuff I made before (didn't have that much time) F-100 Laser Jet (first 4 strength beam fighter) SC-1 Runner (early scout) SC-512 Astrolens (sensor unit) ST-A Blitz Krieger (high volume transport) <img src="http://

Some more things with the ship designer that kinda bugged me and I'd like to know if any of these have been solved : - Can you move your designs up and down in the list in the shipyard menu, just like you do with building orders ? (Asked many times, just re-itterating) - Can you include an option to auto-obsolete any standard designs, because they get obsoleted anyway - I had a problem of ship designs coming available ingame with a Terran hull when playing with a Yor hull type, wh

Is that an option to turn jewelry off and show only certain types of components I see in the second screenshot? If so... I LOVE YOU (whoever did that). I love designing ships, and my ships gets really complicated really fast. It's just such a pain afterwards when you go to put the other stuff on, you know, the weapons/engines/etc

It's very good, but I would like some things altered though. I really don't need Drengin icons on every shortcut or ship icons for my Network connections and System management folder... that's going over the top with alterations if you ask me. I do like the rest though.

First of all, I love this game and it did even get me into some troubles making my deadline for my paper due yesterday, but I pulled it all with an all nighter luckily. Anyway, there are a few minor tweaks that would really make this game more awesome (in my opinion) ofcourse. First off, would it be possible to customize the difficulty levels so that I, a relative newbie, can start playing with the full AI enabled, but give it som

Heh, Newsweek reported that almost 90% of software in China was pirated, 72% in India, and somewhere around 70% for Thailand That's rather normal. Some companies really do not mind being pirated by the large poorer masses for some time. Microsoft surely didn't mind the third world and developing world using

On the GamerFeed review The only downside to setting out into the deep black of space is that there don't seem be any boundaries outside of one's immediate planet. Competing races cannot send a ship to your planet without inciting war, but they can blithely set down a colony ship on a planet within the same solar syste

I use a basic little naming code, then a fluff name. My colony ship is "UC-1 Coloniser", for example. 'U' for utility, 'C' for colony, and '1' for the generation. With warships the code is a bit longer. "WF-MP-1 Wasp". In the first section: 'W' for warship and 'F' for fighter (tiny hull). 'M' for missile weapons and 'P' for point-defense (any anti-missile defense) </TR

Frogboy, is it possible to make an option to give the AI the same intelligence as on the higher levels, but then on the lower levels. Currently I'm still a rookie, so I can't play on intelligent yet, I need more practice. But in a meanwhile, I would like to see the AI adapting to my status. So an option of 25 and 50 % economic penalty with full AI would give me the opportunity to see the real AI without getting slaughtered right away.

Hi, I'm still a rookie with this game, so I can't play at the levels where the AI is fully enabled yet. However, I'd like to play with that option for once just to see what the AI exactly does in different situations as a response to your own behavior. Ain't it possible for to make a double difficulty segregation ? So I can play at full AI at 50 % economy f.i. It's defenately more interesting for the newer players than s

Is there anyway to get the 12-15 jewelry pieces with the regular version ? The CE version is extremely rare here, so I'm forced to buy the normal version (in Belgium). The normal one will already cost me 45 € (about 57 USD, which is more than Americans pay for the CE version) and I'm unable to purchase it online (credit cards are disallowed for students here).
