do you remember wher stardock announced a while back that they would be makeing a massivly multiplayer online rts one of the major draws would have been that the casual player could still contend because only a quarter of the territories a player owned could be attacked per day and that the less you did in a week the more bounuses you would gain to an extent and as you played you would start gaining penalties after a while does anyone know what happened to it dropped, put on hold, released with

it actualy is possible to get ships that powerfull in a gigantic galaxy advanced espionage for all races and if every race has expert miniaturization (for the hyperion shrinker) I've gotten over 20 of them in the past the ships i produced from that if I use everything are hideously expensive but nothing can stop them (provided they are properly balanced for the game at the time) you don't even need to fleet them bu it is highly unlikely to achieve that unless you are trying real hard and not rea

massive hulls and only weapons can get enormous amounts of fire power i'm not sure if two will reach 1500 but it could come pretty close

if you use a trade embargo on them i believe it breaks the alliance as well there are other posts that may have more though

actualy the amount it varies depends on the amount of money i happen to be recieveing at the time ive seen it make a 14,000 difference in the amount I was makeing the only reason i saw that was because i spent almost 200,000 upgradeing some ships it went from 10,000 when i was over 200,000 to 24,000 after it droped below 20,000 once again i was doing no significant trade at the time generally it was between 300 and 500

if you just decide what you want the planet to be when you "accuire it" you just start up a que and thats the end of it at least as long as you have the planetary improvement tree finished

no it did this constantly every other turn it would do this unless i bought something and then it would increase until it was over 20000 again, then it would start again. I was doing no trade i didnt need it and i also like to have a stable economy without it which i do until the 20000 mark and I also wanted a race i wasnt allied with to attack me just so i could crush it . it continued throughout the gam

I managed to get the first ship i produced to level 41 along with all the other ships in the fleet (same type) it was a small hull 3 railgun mk IVs and 1 impulse drive mkIII at level 41 it had 76 hp the engine techs had increased its speed to 6 parsecs/turn and a fleet of 5 could take down an enemy frigate with a standerd set of fighters (i had more but my logistics ability wasnt the best at that point) i didnt farm them up to t

economic starbases dont actualy earn you money either they give you more production ability half of which you have to pay for. great for makeing factory world better but not for earning you money. population the economic resource and the marketing chain of improvements are the only way you can earn enough to support your empire (you can demand tribute or find it but thats not very reliable) generaly i just build 2 or 3 stock markets on all the worlds t

that is an incredibaly low tax rate I've never realy looked at it but that is only a ten credit per person tax rate and are you going to fix the bug on one of the terran huge ship designs wher if you attached a component to the right side then it would transfer over to the left even if there was something already there and if you tried to remove it sometimes it would only remove the space leaveing the effect (not sure if it took the cost or not as well)

myfavorite is really a super project but if you give expert miniaturifzation to everybody they'll build hyperion shrinkers this and high espionage means that your ships will be the most heavily armed armord and fastest in the galaxy

i would suggest putting the starbases near your own border wher your influence is higher for a larger influence increase and working your way toward whoever you are trying to take over that way the starbases are more effective they protect yourself from influence and spread it out wards it is extremly expesive in producion points but generaly you are going to have only a few colonies produceing military ships unless you are under attack so you can use lower production colonies to prduce construc

what you can do is persuade a civ you arent allied with to atack them and then refuse to support them afterwards that will break the alliance

no i wasnt getting all that much from trade maybe 3 or 4 hundred a turn and when i had positive cash flow it was generaly over the thousand mark. the difference between the two points was close to 2 thousand bc's and i was just building like i normaly had been there were no productivity changes when it was switching i also managed to reach the 60 thousand mark but that was during an economic boom and after it was over i was getting -2000 a turn.

late in a recent game (gigantic map - normal dificulty) i had a really powerful economy i was pulling in over 750 bc's a turn, but when i reached about 20000 bc's in the treasury my economy droped into the negatives until it reached about 19500. then it went positive again and it continued to do this until the end of the game, it didnt realy affect gameplay all that much but it did slow me down when i wanted to get a bunch of stuff in a hurry. i tried to find where it went but i couldnt figure i

i believe it is because generaly the evil civilizations get some big bonuses during the colonization phase which helps them a great deal later on in the game
