the problem is the multisampling I do believe, as I had the exact same problem. change Multisample=1 to Multisample=0 try that.
Hayly
he said himself he can resubmit it, but why in the hell would you complain if you cheated? YOU CHEATED. cheeeeeeeated. EXPLOIT... metaverse is to show off your SKILL, not your button mashing using an Exploit. am I clear enough? do I need to use smaller words?
the deep irony here is if you werent being a spineless ass, they probably would refund your money if you said you werent happy with the game and the way they have handled it. I got a refund for simcity 4 after tech support gave me crap, they asked for the cd and packaging, and they sent me a check. demanding and pompous king of the hill crap wont get you anything but stepped on.
SD has disturbing bandwidth. Only server I've ever found on the internet that can pipe a download to me at a steady 1800KB/s. no death and downward spiral either, this thing was rock steady. GO SD!!!
lucky you.
Error: Attempt: 1 | Account information invalid Error: Attempt: 2 | Account information invalid Error: Attempt: 3 | Account information invalid ?? edit: they were sposed to have got new servers, but maybe only for DB, maybe the file server cant cope now?
it isnt out yet...........
I second that.. do NOT pick up a 7800 GS, or anything even remotely modern! not only can the motherboard not handle it, but there is no way your probably underpowered power supply will, it'll boot, but you'll eventually end up with nasty crashes and a dead/dying power supply.. provided it doesnt fry something more vital in the process. Stick with the previous suggestions, and try to realize that a rig like you are using cant support top of the line gra
the sizes are based off calculations, they arent fixed text. I havent experienced any of those problems yet, even with miniaturization. I think the rounding error is the likely culprit, as that's the only thing that makes sense. somewhere it's showing you an integer, but continuing to use a decimal in the calculations. perhaps it's fixed in the beta, just hang onto that save game and try again after it.
before they capped the sensor range, I had no problems playing on a gigantic map, so my hope is that they make it an option that the player can tweak to optimize their performance. I had ships with sensors that could see an entire gigantic map, and didnt notice any problems on my higher end system. so while I feel the pain of those without a super computer on their desk, I also hope that SD allows us that have such a thing, to use it properly. the 15 l
yeah he/she can, it's generated starting from game startup I'd like to see the video specs too, as I suspect that might be the problem for the star background
just to make sure this gets read, I'll post again. the card cools down FAST, it will go from a very high 125c, down to normal in the time it takes your pc to lockup and reboot, yet it is overheating, just the heatsink does a good job once the job is manageable. that is where the underclocking and fan come in. you can get an 80mm for 5 bucks at many computer shops, and it doesnt even have to be 'on' the card, you can just fishing line it to t
I had severe problems with the 5200 locking up under stress in several games. I finally had to mount a fan to the heat sink and slightly underclock the card. I moved it to a lower end pc after I got a 7800, and it has had no problems since. I dont suggest you mess with the clock settings, but I would suggest you take a look at the fan (if it has one, if not, consider getting one), and check the temperature.
boy, I remember the days of pong.. why cant galciv2 be as good as pong? those were the days, not a single bug in that game. then again, it was only 48 bytes, versus over a billion for galciv2, same thing right?
the biggest problem with lack of graphics memory is going to be when there are more textures that need to be displayed than there is graphics memory. the game will chug as it tries to swap textures in and out of memory to 'draw' the scene. it will have to do so every single frame. I realize you cant upgrade a laptop, but if it's agp, at Least try to increase the agp aperature to 64 or 128mb. it wont make a huge difference, but that little bit of memory
I wonder if he tried to run it on a piece of crap comp with an integrated 16mb graphics chip. or if he's just a moron? I vote for moron. only a moron wouldnt bother to get help trying to run it. I would think so, wouldnt you agree indy? as soon as I'm done venting about your stupidity, I might go help someone in need, but rest assured, it wont be you. <i
who cares what the best game you ever played was.. the best game I ever played was rush, so get off it. if you want your error fixed, ask to have it fixed, if you want to bitch and moan, save it and stuff it. what kind of reply did you want exactly? you posted a direct flame, if I knew how, I'd personally ban you and delete this absolutely useless thread.
speak to them, and check their resources. they could be trading money for tech. if they have squandered their money in trade for tech, then you know what's up. they will also flatline income wise. something to keep in mind is that the AI optimizes, and it DOESNT GET TIRED. it doesnt cut corners or forget things, so dont forget things either! you need to maximize your play ability each and every single turn. if something was unbought, or unproduced, tha
I'm tired of replying to this nonsense. 77.77? how many times do you have to be told to upgrade your drivers? that disgusts me. you just slid into the realm of pond scum on my shoes, you deserve no further help.
heat isnt the only killer, and not all stress tests stress the same things. a cpu and gpu have many, many different pathways, and while your system has held up so far, that doesnt mean that it will hold up for good, I edited my post #14 above, check out the bottom half and at least tell us what your 12v rail is rated to. I dont point fingers, I propose options. your finger pointing at this game as the culprit is immature and shortsighted. I'm glad you
can your power supply handle the load? something to remember is that 2 cards requires twice the amperage on the 12 volt rail, and SD has pointed out that this game runs cards hot, meaning juice. 6800's pull about 15a at peak, maybe a smidge more, so double that, and you are talking 30a. simply getting a '500 watt' power supply doesnt mean anything, as each rail has it's own power dedication. and if the rail is peaking out at 30am, the cards arent the only things that use 12v, the mobo, the hard
I'm wondering how you put "OC'd" and "nothing wrong" in the same sentence. Sure some ppl are having problems, but there are also solutions posted for a lot of them. You dont seem to care about getting help with the problems, just complaining about how you've managed to screw your system so bad that it wont run the game properly. good job <img src="http://imag
set your processsor affinity to just one chip, and then you tell us. post back if the problem goes away or not.
logos in the upcoming update
I was also able to fix my problem by setting multisample to 0. considering there are a range of problems/fixes, I wont bother to post my err, as I cant see how you could possibly figure out which error goes with which fix. but it does seem to be a reasonable fix if that is your problem. just one more thing to try I guess.
