I have the same problem since I upgraded, I'm not sure what's going on. the templates arent blank, they still have the jewelry, but all of the functional pieces are gone. If this was done as a time saver, I dont see how that is supposed to save any time, as I have to rearm my ship every single time. I like to create fleet styles, and while the jewelry staying is nice, none of the armor or sensors stays, so that has to all be placed again.

there is an 'easy' solution. build a starport, create a custom ship that has 2 or more colony modules. set this ship to be built automatically, create rally point for this ship to automatically go to. now every time a ship is built, it's loaded with 500m-1bn or more ppl, depending on the size. you can tweak your spending to slow down the construction rate, or speed it up if the population goes up fast. but this way a chunk of your population is ta

zoom out, stellar cartography shows which planet class each planet is, based on the density of it's ring, the thinner the ring, the lower the class. you have to zoom out to the iconic representation of the 3d map.
