I picked up the collector's edition of GC2... not too long after it came out, as I recall. Earlier today, I got GC2 Ultimate Edition on Steam. (Yay sale.) How do I enable the collector's edition content for GC2 Ultimate? I went to the page that the collector's edition flyer thing told me to, but when I ran the download from there, all it did is install the desktop - it didn't mention anything about the CE content.

Well, if it lets you download anyway, how is it a problem?
You guys are meeeeaaaan.
*poke* Help please? I swear, I'm going to update the Wiki with this info as soon as I learn it... and get a Wiki account...
No, they don't. It's just something that sprang up for some reason. I started a game last week, and they all had different governments. I remember that the Humans were Fed, Altarians were Pacifist, Drengin were War Party, and Iconians were Technologists... Beyond that, I can't remember.
Go to My Computer->C Drive->Documents and Settings->*username*->My Documents->My Games->GalCiv2 and look for any RACECONFIG files. Delete any that aren't custom races.
Alawon, you misunderstand. It's the settings when I start the game. Every race has a different political party (Humans are Federalist, Drengin are War Party, et cetera) that can only be changed before the game starts. And for some reason, the default for each is now Federalist. Like I said, I looked in the GalCiv file to see if someone had saved new custom settings, but there was no custom configuration there. Anyway, could someone at least
Hello? Anyone?
For some reason, the default party for every species is Federalists... I checked to see if someone changed the defaults for the species, but apparently not. Any ideas on how to fix this?
But I have a bunch of custom species I made, and I don't want to lose those... Or are those saved some place else?
Could anyone with a bit of spare time tell me the default governments for each Civ? A friend came over and decided to tool around with the settings some... I look away for a moment, next thing I know I've got diplomatic Drengin and savage, warmongering Humans. I've managed to restore most of it with the aid of the Wiki pages, but I never saw a reference to government anywhere. All I can remember is that Drengins are War Party, Humans are Federalist, an
Afraid not. Although the more planets you have, the faster you can get new techs, since your Research score increases with each new lab built...
My stepdad has developed a strategy for dealing with pirates. I haven't fought pirates yet, so I can't verify. He ignored them and went to go do other things, eventually winning a Technological Victory.
NTJedi, doesn't the stickied thread discuss why multiplayer would be a bad idea? Anyway, I'd rather have extra content for the single-player mode than multiplayer. I'd personally never use it.
