'S' for sentry still does not work in 1.4X. t.t Is there a plan to fix this? I use it often to set up my sensor net to warn me of nearby ships and it's a pain to have to click the button instead.

I came across this weird thing, and I don't know if it is a feature or a bug. When I am in the diplomacy screen trying to get a race to attack another race, sometimes the target race does not show up. Why is this? According to the "Treaties" page, the two races are trading with each other. Does that make it impossible for me to get race A to attack race B.... just because they are trading? I can understand perfectly when they are allied, but they are n
In my opinion it is worth the effort to learn how to build ships. You don't even have to care about ship design. It's easy to choose a ship hull, pick whatever weapons, defenses, sensors, engines etc and just plop them onto open attachment points (the red nodes) on the ship and build better ships than the Core ones (especially after you have better tech). I do not spend hours designing a beautiful ship. I just use a bare ship hull and add components I
Just to confirm that I see the same thing too. Maybe the mission is difficult enough so that the default difficulty is set to Cakewalk? I'm still in the early stages of Achilles' Heel on Normal so I do not know if the mission will be tough in the end. I do know that the DLs attack my allies' undefended colonies very early in the game though. I had to design and buy some good ships to defend a bit.
I encounter problem #1 as well. In my current game it happens only on one of the starports on a particular planet. Since early in the game another race has "parked" a scout right next to my planet. (Just in case this has a significance.) Anyway, halfway through the game the starport shows a build time of 0 weeks. I cannot purchase a ship, and changing ships to build does not work either. Neither does demolishing and rebuilding the starport.
