Has anyone built and used mass drivers effectivly?? I've built "hugh" ships with mass drivers but they are basically useless. They take up so much space that you can only get small combat value with them and they do very little damage. I had ships with 10 MD attack points attacking ships with no armor, but most of the time they score 0 to 1 points of damage. Then I have another ship with 10 Missile attack point and they attack a ship with point defense of 2 and the missile ship can g
Supreme Ruler
Nope, my fault on that one. It should of been on the box though. With most games being multiplayers, they should of clearly stated it was a single player game on the box itself.
I'm sorry, but any multiplayer for this game (Besides, possibly, PBEM) would be HORRIBLE. Have you ever tried to play a game like this at a lan? Have you? I got my friends to play MoO2 at a lan once, and... damn, most of the time you are either sitting there, waiting for someone to end their turn and yelling at them to speed it up, or doing something important while eve
For someone who is 39, you don't sound very mature. Also, if you want multiplyer so badly why don'y you get off your lazy ass and develop your own game that has it. Umm.. not much to say here...you really got me good.... oh woe is me.
To: Supreme Ruler I don't personally think that you wasted your money. This game is great, and I mean GREAT. Graphics aren't flashy but they do the job (and by all means, the engine supports million-polygon ship models, and it's totally modable. How long before we see "Battle effect enhancements" mods?). Multiplayer isn't there in the traditional sense. What there -
Not to sound too snarky, but you WERE aware that this is a single-player game only, right? No I was not aware. That's why I asked the question.
It's been in numerous reviews that there is no multiplayer My fault there, I didn't review any reviews. I was just browsing the game store looknig for a good space game. With practically every game having a multiplayer option and the box didn't mention it being a single player only I thought I'd give it a try.
Maybe you should. I still have the original box and there is no place on it that it said it was a only a single player.
Really? Hand it to me on a platter? You must not be that good because that hasn't happened to me. I played with all races on the largest galaxy. Granted the game lasted awhile and there was some intense battles, but the AI doesn't protect troop transports very well. Once I get a planet, I very rarely lose it and I slowly wear the AI down.
Masters of Orion isn't dead. At least you can play a multiplayer game with it on a LAN. You can't to jack with GalCivII. Granted it's a nice singleplayer game, but its multiplayer ability rates zero.
Can't Galactic Civilations II be played on a Lan? If not, I just wasted money again a lazy developers.
