For what it's worth, ATI under Vista isn't the answer either. Vista is a new operating system, with a completely rewritten OS underneath. It's not surprising that there are serious issues with driver compatibility out of the box. Add to that the fact that Vista is really not complete (they're already compiling SP1, apparently), and you have a recipe for disaster. Honestly, the answer is, "Don't play games under Vista." I'm a little surprised that, as a techie, you didn't know that.

You know, I may have some added information here. When I go to install it, it lists Dark Avatar as a component. I don't own DA, and honestly, right now I'm not looking to own it. I'd just like to install my original game. But I can't remove DA from the list of components, and I can't install the components (Tutorials, Movies, etc.) one at a time without installing GalCiv 2, which then lumps in DA in with the rest of the components. What gives here? Why isn't DA a seperate game entr

Hello, I'm trying to DL and install GalCiv2 on my new laptop. It quickly downloads the core components, but when it goes to extract them, it always stalls at 1% on RaceConfig.xml, which is the first file. What gives?
