Nobody MADE you buy the game, and nobody is MAKING you keep it or play it if you don't like it. If you bought it from a store and you don't like it, return the damn thing--don't go on the internet and forums and start putting it down and complaining that one or two things might not be to your liking. That's ALL I'm saying. I'm not out to start an arguement, I don't want th

Yes, truely, stop acting like this game should be a super-game with all of the best parts of MOO2/3, Empire At War, Civ 4, along with a little hint of Rome: Total War. It's not, it's Galactic Civilizations. They didn't want it to be just like all the games that are out or have been out for years. So stop complaining that it isn'
Its like russia would build some nuclear bases right infront of washington They did, it was called Cuba. And did they like it? or were we clos
Well instead of beeing a fanboy I say what I think. I liked galciv but I'm a bit dissapointed about galciv2. Its really good the first days but then it becomes a boring grind. I'm not saying that galciv2 should be like moo or empires at war, just saying that those 2 games did some things a lot better and as a person from stardock, what do you want? Do you want to read only thread about how good your game is etc. or do you want to read some thread about
- Starbases are insane. You cannot build armadas of constructors just for one starbase. Its really frustrating 99% of the time you build constructors and waste your time with clicking on a starbase to upgrade it etc. Its that kind of insane that I begin to not build them anymore, but the computer does, even within your own territory lol. Thats normaly like an attack and a reason for war. - Insane rate of colonies. The only thing the AI is
Well the problem you have is, yes they don't colonize planets. But your stupid computer friends do and thats the real problem. Computer AI colonize all planets within a few rounds. AI acting stupid anyway they build one colony ship after another and know where the planets are, colonizing it and then a few rounds later the dreadlords attack and they stand no chance against them. I cannot attack them myself, cause they are my allies. So I can watch the d
I really like starbases, but I have to agree that it is getting out of control in galciv2. I really hope that they will find a different way in galciv3. I mean 20-30 times or more you build a contructor and fly to a starbase and it is a nearly never ending, build and update. And even the biggest starbase is just a so freaking easy target. Build a fleet of 4 ships with good weapons and you have +240 beam or something. Thats only 4 ships build easy and f
It's been mentioned in it's own thread, figured i'd put it here, as well. There appears to be a new bug since the last patch. The influence calc is going screwy and one empire is getting total influence for one or two turns. Unfortunately, because of the way Influence works, I can't send you my save game, because reloading reset
Bug: Planet Quality reset after loading a game. When you use soil enhancement etc. to improve your planets quality the number goes up. Example a level 10 planet goes up by one number to 11. Save this game now and reload it, the planet is back down to 10. This is more worse when you have a low quality planet and after all kinds of terraforming you have a medium planet that can support 20billion peoples now, reloading and you're back down to 5 billion pe
