Every crash is saved onto your root directory (generally C) ??? C is my O/S partition, GalCiv2 is in Games folder on my E partition. The debug.err will still be there, go
I hit a problem moving a saved Metaverse game from my desktop PC to my laptop - none of my custom ships were availabe. I found what appeared to be the relevant files in My Games\GalCiv2\ships and My Games\GalCiv2\Metaverse\ships and copied those over as well. All seemed fine until I set my governor to change all planets building Defender to build a custom ship - horrendous crash. Ok, so I've screwed up somewhere ... any advice on

I had this after loading 1,1 Beta 2, rebooted the pc and everything was fine.
You need to activate the collectors edition stuff - see collectors edition downloads in the Downloads section.

No probs playing gigantic on my XP2100 with 1GB ram. Slow as can be on my P4 2.66gig laptop with 512MB ram (though onboard graphics probably don't help). Upgrade ram to 1GB if necessary. Increase paging filesize to 2GB... Make sure no nasties are running in the background ... I had GC2 slow to a halt once - discovered Diskeeper was doing a defrag AND Norton AV was virus scanning at the same time as I was playing GC2! <img src="ht
