Well we were, but we we started talking about making invasion ships and the conflicting ideas in the production of them.
You get income just like the income you get from trade routes, but this is far less income then what you get from trade routes.
Ah, but what if you have a trade and tourism module? (heck, tack on a spore module just to freak out the other civs.)
Creating good starbases can take years in agame and I too believe it is a waste to have a starbase destroyed. Maybe transport modules could be used in starbase invasion, or even have a tree of starbase assault tactics.
Oh, and you misspelled gullible.
How ironic....
lets face it even the "death star II" in star wars was only 100miles in diameter Actualy the second Death Star is about 560 miles across. Keep in mind that star wars is also FICTION!!! the largest ship humankind has made is an aircraft carrier... If you've ever seen one, you'll know just how huge something would have to be to do what we're talking about.
Well actua
Well it's been good lately. The darkest and shakiest of times were when those god darned "god threads" were coming around. (You know what I'm talking about Neilo.) It felt that the game forum was becoming a religous debate forum.
Super Horde: A powerful warrior horde inspires fear in its enemies, causing them to flock to the horde's side. Morale is improved because of the 'horde' philosophy, and enemies would rather be on the winning side.
Good for warmongers! Good for a orc like race.
Let's hope Stardock is listening then .... oh come on, stardock listening to something about reality? get real.
Yea that'll never happen. There's an old dev journal about reality in games, I think it was made befor GalcivII came out. Well anyway reality has been around this forum for a whil
When can we expect to see multiplayer?
Never
i miss the old school castles!
Ah the memories.
Maybe we could have the option of rotating hard points of jewelry. Like if I want my Laser V to point foward no matter what. However, on the same ship I have the mass drivers set to track the enemy. Maybe you could even have parts of a ship that rotate an entire side of a ship!
Look forward to the gameplay log. Love the new Drengin interface graphics! Probably being ignorant, but the interface is the same. Except for a little yellow bar just right of the research. Start up a DA game, look at the border art around the UI elements, like around the mini map, then look at the screenshots again.
Ah, I see it now. I was right, I was ignoran
You guys should check out this thread: [link="https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=162&aid=165842#1342388"]WWW Link[/link] It would be a nice addition to TA and would deal with a lot of micromanagement.
I think we're just being argumentitive now. Play the game in windowed mode, set to match your desktop res. Press the Windows key, bring up the taskbar(hey look, a clock!), press the tab for the player of choice you have running, the player comes up over your game, press the song track you want, press the tab again, your player goes away. It takes maybe 3 seconds, no problematic alt -tabbing. Assuming you're not using bloat-ware to play your music, it takes no more system resource

Watch Post!.........'d
it would be like putting a .mp3 player or something in the game
Hey, I'd use it. It would be a lot faster than minimizing the game and then taking 5 minutes to play a song you want.
Would it be fine just to stick it on the options screen?
I would rather it next to the mini map or where the treasury is on the game screen.
Never! Raises aren't in the tax budget for the next 150 years! And I tend to play neutral or good.
And you're good? Well if you were evil you could just put a fail-safe system. They would cheer and jeer.....little did they know they had cyanide pills put in their brains and they are now leaking into their brains!
As if our world needed a super-efficient and highly explosive weapon.
Hey, if the Dreadlords come along it's all fair play.
This would work better if you had a list of upgrades you want done to the starbase. Que up a bunch of upgrades and the constructors would go to them and upgrade it.
There is also the possibility (if we want realism here) of mines as add-ons to space stations and asteroid mines, giving them another defense mechanism. It's feasibly possible to lay a minefield around something as (relatively) small as one of these, and could be of use as well (haha, you want to convert to another race, silly mine? Well, my mines will blow up the mine if you do! hah!)
I like your style, blow 'em up if they change their lousy contract. But actua
Will the planatary ground combat animation be updated at all for the beta?
Phew I hear you! I think it was actually better in GalcivI where it was 2D, it left room to the imagination. This stuff just needs to be completely rehashed. It also detracts from the game. Here you have awesome graphics in the rest of the game and then you invade. That's when the invasion graphics rear its ugly head.
