I have a bunch of ideas that I have for Galciv III. I know I am a little long winded, but please read these! These are from my old posts: New Idea for farming: In DA, it has become a major pain for players to use that big 300% farming tile, because the morale on that planet plumets. If you do build a farm there you soon realise that building a factory over that pristine land would be the best move. Now, to the idea: I think farming should be a minable resource, like asteroi

I remember hearing the Torians would have loads of cheap ships beacause the Torians are like roaches. But that is odd, seeing that they can research doomrays. This kind takes some of the taste out of them.

They need to make tourism more powerful, like it was before they nerfed it. It would help the larger empires sustain themselves without relying on trade or heavy taxation. The increased maintainence they put in the beta4 is crap, it just makes building big fleets even harder.

I as well have a problem with the economy. Especially with the Thalans. They have absolutely no econmic buildings in the colony rush. This makes it really hard to win as them, much less get past all the bloodthirsty neighboring races that want to kill me. My way of trying to counter this is to raise taxes. However, some planets may be heavily populated and things get ugly there quick. I really wish we could set tax rates for those kinds of planets, individually. It would help cope with
+ NEW: Ship maint cost increased to correspond with higher level of money in game
SO, the ship maintainence gets higher as you get more money? That is not cool. :(
are you kidding? those canucks have wanted to blow us up for years now. just look at their exceedingly modest military, and it's obvious. they're planning a sneak attack!
A big sneak attack, EH?

Terror stars should be a fully capable military base with offensive weaponary. If you really want to make it a TERROR STAR, you should be able to fuse it with economic and influence starbase's. Overpowered? I call it someting to really afraid of. (If I recall, in Galciv I it was like this^) If you don't like it then you should have the option to determine how terrifying a terror star can get.
It would be useless to have them as a playable faction. The game wouldn't go anywhere, they'd eradicate everyone in less than 100 turns. It would be like playing against god, there's no fun in that. You've got to remember, they're tech (ala their weapons and defense) are better than even the most advanced weapons available in the game, and they START with those techs. The game would always have the same outcome, Dread Lords win.
Perhaps. BUT! What if you had a scenario w

"Death Beam" sounds like an old cliché from old 50's comic books. Anything is better than death beam.
My only concern here is the fact that the name of their religion is the same as a real world one. You know it better as Christianity, but Chrstianity was originally known as The Way. One could see some reading into it as some kind of negative representation of Christianity, mostly because of sharing the original name for Christianity. Now, being what most of you would consider a highly religious Christian myself, I don't consider it a huge deal, and am pretty sure that this was n

If the Krynn are made up of many sentient creatures, why do we only see one of them? Better yet, wouldn't their race be separated into classes? Put the best warrior race on the transports, get the brainiest race in research centers, the best sales men on trade ships, and the charasmatic race in the empassies. No sense to put a nerds on transports right?

Spore looks like a good game, but I have a hunch ground and space battles won't be fun. Maybe if they did the ground battles like Rise of Nations and Space battles like Home World or Sins of a Solar Empire. When you get to the UFO, there is no more fighting, you win. Also, the graphics look kind of cartoony. It isn't a bad thing, but personally I would like realistic graphics more.
But how about other weapons? E.g. a gun. A terrorist with a gun is not able to kill as many innocent people as with the nuke. At least not so quickly. But the terrorist can kill a lot of people with it too. So this gun is not so evil as a nuke, but it is evil. Hey! Wait a minute! The terrorist can kill ME with that gun! Who cares about the other people? He can shoot me! The gun is as evil as the nuke. But what if I take this particular gun and kill that bloodthirsty terrorist? I
Because some robots can be programmed for evil?
How do you program something to be "evil"? I'll let the devs answer that, but seriously. You can have an evil programmer, but not an evil robot. How would it know it's being evil(or whatever), it doesn't distinguish between good or evil. Since they are programmed to do this, can you call them evil? If I program a robot to run over hampsters, the robot's not evil, I am.(Ofcourse evil is a point of view) Like Arcturu
Continuation from jubjub15's theme. This is just some postulating! Instead of moral to keep the Yor happy (seeing as machines even sentient ones shouldn't need to be happy)why don't we give them the need for power. You know to keep their empire running efficiently. If they start running low on power or their power source their so called moral would start to dwindle. So some of their tech lines could research new ways for power production. This could even lead into different races
