Yep but it doesn't show nearly all the info you can get on mini map (especially once you have the eye of the universe thing). I already play zoomed out in tactical view most of the time so I can easily distiguish objects

Would be handy if you could get a full screen mini-map or an overlay on your main map. It's a pain to easily use it except on small maps. And that eyes of the universe thing is miniature info overload!
I have now lost what little hope I had left for humanity. no SERIOUSLY every GODDAMN @#)$*%)#$ shred of HOPE i had LEFT. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Crying.gif" border=0 ALIG

have a game that, when I hit "Turn" goes off into never never land and never comes back I've been having this problem with first beta. i find it is a ship with movement points left and the game is waiting for you to move it first. it doesn't target it for ya though. i move some specific ship and t
Urk. No. This forum is not "create your own game". EVERYBODY! Stop posting suggestions! featauril likes how the game how it is, so no more patches, enhancements, suggestions, or criticizm! seriously though... if you want surrenders and you leave that option on... this will affects you how? I also find surre
you get it by looking in your game directory
I spend time making nice looking ships... but i reuse those designs every game. i save them as xShipName and slap on my current techs. Then before I start a new game I go to my docs folder and delete all the ship designs that dont start with x
here's an expansion idea. Would be kinda cool if there was a space station dedicated to growing food in space. could divy up its grown food between all planets under it's sphere of infulence. Could get better modules going up the farm construction branch, or a new branch.
Is there a hotkey to toggle trade route lines on and off?
bug: sensor ranges shrink reproduce: put a large sensor ship in a square. move a small sensor range ship though the square Also happens to starbases https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=274&AID=107745 https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=274&AID=107867#832777
happens when a ship with a smaller scanner range moves into or through the same square as the ship with bigger scanning range (also reported here https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=274&AID=107745) (or at least that is the only time it happens to me)
If you have a ship with a high sensor range sitting in a square, and move a low sensor range ship over it, the larger sensor range is nullified and you have to click on the ship to get the visible range to show up again.
Clicking on foreign stats, then relation tab. It's empty because I haven't met anyone. But you can just hit ctrl+1 through ctrl+0 and tada you can now trade from turn 1. Is this the reason that by the time I meet another civilization they have tons more techs.. and as I meet more they have already tech traded up to be equal? or is this just a human to AI interaction bug and the AI still behaves and waits till they meet?
haha starforce calling out galciv 2 about how much it is being pirated??? Maybe they don't bother to see how much the games they 'protect' are pirated?! Starforce doesn't stop piracy. Starforce just gets a free ride from paranoid publishers.
Decided to make my sensor ship a large dual array instead of a bunch of satellite dishes. Can click em for bigger screenshots.
Here's an idea for later or an expansion pack. A module that will jam sensors. Would be kinda cool if the range of the jammer extended into your visible range with a sensor it blacked that out with a pattern. If the jammer range overlays a ship it could black out that ships scanner completely. Could also have modules to fight back against jamming too. jammers and anti-jammers could have powers and ranges decreased by some kinda simple formula...
It would be helpful if there was a button next to the scroll right button for components that are on a ship. Reasoning would be that after I add 60+ objects... and then i add one i can't click on (easily or at all)... it'd be nice to have a jump to end button so i didn't have to press the right button 60 times =P
Ok... how do you brake a persons knees? Are you going to disc brake them?
Frogboy answered this question in #galciv. [19:11] AIs only trade 1 to 1 techs.
I can't decide which hull set to make my standard set... I got sick of switching back and forth between 2 save games with all hulls visible trying to compare so i threw together a side by side comparison. Figured i'd throw it on a site in case someone else had the same dilemma. jpegs are compressed and a tiny bit blocky. http://home.comcast.net/~n.matlock/galciv2/hullHvsD/HvsD.html
just select the ship called "nothing". I know for sure its there in the quick build list from the main map screen. dunno about if you zoom into planet and click build ship button

Hmm I can't get my second metaverse game to post. it says "(11) Your game submission was rejected because the application serial number does not match the serial number on the Metaverse server. Would you like to try posting your results again?" Thats when I post with my laptop. If I post with my game machine, the (11) is a (12) Any ideas?
