I have problems when using those particularly wings, too. The only workaround I have found is to use 2 extenders or antennas to position the wings so that they appear level. This does not solve the problem of the pentagonal tube being upsidedown on the right side though.

It would be nice for a minor race to be able to basically take the place of a major race they have defeated. Basically they get their spot at the voting table and an influence ring. But only if they defeat a major race.

Well, if one race got the "Eden Device" very early on, they would quickly win culturally due to population size. Being able to convert Class 0's just wouldn't work with the current ability to win by influence.

Having few habitable planets is an advantage to gameplay, not a hinderance. It's done for competition reasons: 1)Having few habitable planets means you have to explore to expand. 2)Competition for good planets will increase, and pretty soon any empty planet looks good. 3)With the habitable planets spread out, it is much less likely that condensed sections of space will become totally dominated by one race early on. 4)It forces you to meet your neighbors and deal with them,

Sounds exactly like the majority of the mods available for Freelancer. Personally, I like unscripted. Copying may be the sincerest form of flattery, but I would much rather create my own way.

No better way to kill morale than to research farm upgrades. The morale penalty for population seems extreme. In my first game of reasonable length, I made the mistake of building a farm on a 300% food bonus tile. Even with Populists and 4 Arenas on the planet, I couldn't manage more than 40-50% approval on that planet, while other planets

1)Lucky Ranger not so lucky. After getting the message that I had found the "Ranger" ship, everything on the screen went white except for text. I saved, exitted, reset, and loaded the game back up. Ranger was there, screen was normal. Hit the turn button, got a second "Ranger." I Figured the game was aplogizing for acting screwy, but a couple turns later everything on the screen went blue except for text. This may be too bugs just overlapping. Also, while the Lucky Ranger supposedly had a

Avenstar a human opponent is ever better than the most perfected AI. But what you shall demand yourself is not if AI is better than a match between two people but if MP option is fine for this type of game, how MP will be implemented and finally if u prefer MP to new gameplay features. Personally if i have to play online i will ever pick Counterstrike instead of GC2, if i

I would buy a multiplayer expansion. You can have the hardest AI in the world to challenge players, but it just doesn't compare to the fun of going against a thinking opponent. An AI can throw a few curves your way, but there is a huge difference that sets a human apart from an AI: the human opponent feels fear, shock, betrayal, and wonder. The AI doesn't fear the wave of your ships approaching its homeworld. They aren't shocked to find out you're spying on them. The AI doesn't

Age of Wonders 2: Shadow Magic was a good game in the spirit of MoM. Not sure if you were referring to the original, the sequel, or the second sequel in your post. The user created maps, scenarios, and mods definitely added to it's replayability. The town sieges, large assortment of units, ability to use conquered races, multiple hero development, and cool selection of spells made for a fun game. You can still find it a few online retailers.
