hum... the problem I see with all this complicated stuff you're talking about is it ain't fun! Yes maybe it is logical, but it's not fun at all. Solution to your problem: make research very slow!! That ougth to slow the pace. Besides, there's already a disadvantage to building and stationing colony ships next to soon to be colonized worlds: 1- In the beginning phase, every ship built is crucial, and building colony ships inhibits you from building constructors for taki

Bug 2) Capitals that are conquered still have the 12 bt/wk but after a save load it changes to 5 bt/wk I also have this problem. After a load, it's the other conquered planet from the same former owner that gets the 12 pop, making you lose all extra pop on the conquered capital. (ex; I conquered Mars and Earth from the Terrans. Many turns afte

in my last game, a race (cant remember which one, think it was the Yor) got at least 5 rangers in the first years, at least that was the number of rangers I had to destroy They paired them in some intimidating fleets played on intelligent

1- ability to zoom in and out on the tech tree 2- add Hall of Fame of sorts for the best scores... you spend hours on games and they're forgotten as soon as they end! 3- New scenario idea: Bad Fortune Basically, you've got bad luck. You seem to get all the bad events, nobody wants to be your friend. And everyone else seems to be so lucky! This should be a event-heavy scenario.

I think the problem might be that the AI doesnt want to win . It only wants to survive. It wont go out of its way to take territory if they dont have motivation. The AI should be able to beat you to a win of any kind. It doesnt try to get those diplomatic, influence or tech victory (can they even do that?). Come to think of it, it plays exactly like a human who doesnt have a game plan . When I start a game, I have a plan which dictates long term and short term goals.

the everlasting discussion between realism and playability My opinion : it's a game dammit! Make it fun BTW for the realism freaks: in real life, nations rarely research techs or own any of them, and they certainly don't sell "technologies"

It's been mentionned a couple weeks ago A multilayered map with some portals between. In HOMM, it was a huge difference in gameplay not to know what was on the other side (underground). You could have: - time limited portals - moving portals - ennemies appearing out of the blue at any given time - (farfetched) portals that would open up to an old lost game at the exact time you lost it, so you get another chance for comeback against those damn Drengin... or see the

I hear that in 1.1 it's kinda important to have good morale (80+) to get your population to grow but I haven't played that version so I don't know

See this post concerning larger maps https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=162&AID=110455#850798 Some people seemed to like the possibilities of a multilayered map with worholes or the like linking multiple galaxies. Even if those galaxies are just size regular or even small... think of the gameplay possibilities. Never underestimate the "You don't know what's there" factor.

Do you think the problem might be that the Surrendering is not tuned down enough in smaller maps? ex: 4-5 planets left on Gigantic Galaxy is really worth surrendering for but not on Large Galaxy, but the AI might have trouble adjusting... the largest I've personaly played is Large, so I wouldn't know has anyone ever witnessed a difference in Surrendering based on Map size??

I think there's a reason for it to cost so much. Experience Upgrading lets you get a new top-of-the-line ship but you keep the extra HP from xp. So yea it cost me 350 bc to upgrade my small fighter but it has 6 times as many hp as any new enemy fighter! It can take one of their fleets on its own! So in midgame, when I spent 1400 bc to upgrade 4 small fighters with 35-40 HP each, I think it's money well spent. So personnaly, I find

So many good games. So many classics. But here's one nobody mentionned: BATTLETOADS (nes) My brothers and I played it like crazy. It was the only sidescroller where you could fight the other players and when you'd smacked them dead with a steel rod, you'd just say "oups sorry" with a goddamn smile.... haa so many good memories

But can you imagine a situation where you would want to leave the UN?? I remember back in MOO1, the diplomatic victory was only yours if you were voted the UN leader and if you were not, you had the choice to accept the leader (lose the game) or leave the UN and try to beat the newly formed galactic alliance where every race other became as one that was crazy

I have a question for you you say you don't have good english... where are you from?? DId you know that intellectual property rights are nation-based? So if your site's server is situated in Canada (example) you won't be affected by american laws. You'll also have to check out Canada's intellectual property laws on copyright. But its all very complicated due to the fact that internet is international... PS: Just to say that I'm a fourth year law stude
