I've had this too On your first turn from loading, no production or research is done but I've observed that on the second turn, it's brought up to what it should be, i.e. your research bar shows progress of 2 turns I haven't cheked it out for the production bar though

Ho, and It would be a blast if I could set up multiple-teams-at-war games Presently you can only set up your team at the beginning Or you can play the "Moral Alignment type scenario" but I couldn't find a way to play another race than the Humans in this
I feel like I'm on Santa's knees Good suggestions here on trading https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=162&AID=108685#838233 1- An AI shouldn't benefit from a trade good you sold it to if it goes to war against you... I mean it should be the same with trade goods as it is for trade routes. Maybe implement a price-per-turn for this wou
On my first game on Challenging with 8 races, I set the Drengin and the Yor with me as a team It helped for the beginning cause I wasn't alone against everybody... but if you do that you should choose some other races cause eventually everybody declares war to the Drengin even if they were pretty weak, and I had to follow in war At one point, it was basically 4 against me... but my good start helping I destroyed them one aft
Actually it can be usefull 1- You invaded several planets and you want them to rapidly have more population than .05b so they can defend themselves against invasion 2- You're taxing your people rotten so you may need it to balance the population growth penality 3- As for every trade good, you sell it around for money, and you tighten your relations cause the AI may not want to lose that trade good (as it surely does if it goes to war with you) I'm not sure of the
http://www.thegalacticcore.com/ Go my friend Go and get those pre-customized ships
I think that there should be an "auto-liftoff" option for built starships just like the one that was there in GalCiv 1. You can simulate it by using a rally point right next to the planet, that's unnecessary micromanagement IMO. Apparently there is an "auto-liftoff" In the Frogboy's "Do you kn
Another suggestion / comment on AI On my last game on Bright intelligence, I had a clear diplomacy advantage and a Galactic Bazaar, and I ended up pacifying the AI by keeping it poor. All I had to do is "selling" money for money . So I sold every 200 bc for about 300-350 bc and every AI accepted this!!! particularly the Korx (who are supposed to be the business race?!) For all the end game, I kept all the AI to less than a 1000 bc in their account. And I upgraded all my fle
About that tile specialization issue I've just finished a game with bright Ai who placed a manufacture capital on a 100% research tile even though there was still 4 free tiles
it lets some people creative side come out I totally agree... but it goes deeper than that when you play a game, you want to feel as if it really were you that was in it, that's part of the immersive feeling that's so important to games. So as Wright comments in a presentation: when I play GTA San Andreas, I prefer to have my "hero" wear
Hello all, Following the development of GalCiv2 during the last 2 months, it is obvious that no one expected the ship designer to be so popular. Since release a good portion of the players' suggestions have aimed that little portion the game. Even going as far as wanting the designer to be accessible from out of a game just so you'd be able to design ships at your leisurely plaisure. But thinking back, I remember a game called Lords of the Realm that had a castle designer w
Very helpful, tx Question/Commentaries: 1- I'm always a little frisky to sell techs to other races including minors cause I know those races can always sell my techs to other races I'm close to war with... So when I sell techs I usually sell to everyone in one turn so at least I'll make all the profit there is to make; or I just dont sell at all. 2- Do you think you should sell your diplomacy techs? or is keeping the other races lower on diplomacy for longer more important?<
I would like to be able to set teams and starting conditions (war) at the beginning! Right now, we can set one team (ours) but we cant have 2vs2 or stuff like that. I'd like to be able to set up a game like starcraft = a 2vs2vs2vs2 bloodfest!!
Other suggestions: 1- It would be nice to have a personal Hall of Fame à la Civilization, so that the games we spent so many hours on don't just vanish from memory. 2- A hold button is needed for when you don't want to move a ship till next turn, or more simply a next ship button. It is especially frustrating not to have one because you're never sure if all of your ships have moved this turn. 3- A more comprehensive decorating tool for the ships. You can never know wh
In the graphs at the bottom of the main screen I got corruption (only happened once so far) since installing 1.0x. It was consistently there for 20 minutes or so, but dissappeared after alt-tabbing. (the graph data for between -3 and -10 weeks approx were scattered vertically in a wierd way) 1- I've had this too, on the graph at the bottom, an
Yea I've had this too But it only happened when I saved a ship I built from the New (as opposed to the upgrade) under the same name of another ship from another game (ex: I just finished a game where I had a ship "Little Bitch". When I tried to save in another game another ship called by the same name, it crashed) I dunno if that's the way to reproduce, but it's the only way I've had crashes when saving a ship design
It's kinda stupid though, you should be able to reset the races from the ingame interface
