I had a fairly entertaining, and completely crash-free game of DA, and decided to post a few thoughts or ideas I had during the course of the game. These are not particularly DA-specific, but still something I think would improve the game. Is it so that the pirates don't attack 'evil' leaning civs? I got this event and my space was right next to the Drengin. The pirates never came after my fleet in Drengin space nor harrassed any Drengin fleets on planets, but everywhere else I looked (and the military strength graph), all other races' fleets just went away. One yarrgh! also for pirates being (at least slightly) overpowered. Took me a while to build fleets to match them, and as said above many times, AI didn't stand a cha
Just to give my 2c as well - I also found the 5-parsec speed limit mega event as too restricting and annoying. I think it would be fun as a shorter event, but one that gets 'repaired' at some point.
First off, congrats to the team. Great game, and way better tested and balanced than most large-budget games. The game was extremely stable for me, only two crash bugs during two long sessions.
