I'd love options to change event frequency. Out of my last 3-4 games, I only saw something like 1-2 ethical questions per a game and just about none of the other events.

Precurser libraries and mines are RARE. Like rare as hell. I've only seen a single mine in the 8 games that I have recently played.

Overclocking does not kill hardware alone, overclocking alone will never kill modern hardware. My X800XL died because I had done some Vmods on it, one of which failed. @ HelloHelloHello, you WANT to do research before you jump into overclocking. www.xtremesystems.org/forums/ and www.dfi-street.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=9 are good places to start, but if you jump straight into it you are going to screw things up. I started when I was 11 ye

I have an AMD Opteron 146 running at 2.8ghtz (same as FX57) 2 x 512mb of OCZ VX at 240mhz 2-2-2, but unfortuneatly my X800XL has died. Im trying to sell some of my other pc parts (3200+ that OCs to 2.7, and 2x512 of OCZ VX) to try and get enough for a 7900GT.

I've had this happen a few times. Some neutral race kept trying to trade some neutral tech for concepts of malice. From memory though, I do actually remember an increase in total trade routes, but that might have been because of something else.

I dunno, usually it takes large ships before I can crush all my enemies. Last game I played, the drengin and torians had similair technology to me, and the drengin were much better at building a fleet. I ended up building 3 large ships, using the exact same technology as the drengin (except the large hull tech). I tend to try and arm my large hull ships with atleast twice as much armour as the enemy have weapons, and because of this the 3 large hull sh

I go with the diplomacy and social production bonuses, but the last game I played I ended up with 100% moral on every planet and 1000BC surplus per a turn. I don't have an active militry though, its purchased when I need it. Most of the cash comes from my best planet, which is just economy centers, economy capital, mind control center (for 100% extra economy) and a farm or two.

No, the money always starts to roll in after I get a economy dedicated planet. I never really have a 'war effort', its more like the enemy deciding to attack me because I have a militry rating of 0, and me just buying some large ships with 50 beam, 20 shield while the best thing my opponents have are ships with 5 beam, 1 shield. Those large ships didn't need replacing, they just wiped all enemy ships in the rest of the galaxy.

Best I've had is some class 26 planet that I took from the Dark Yor. Turned it into an economy planet, with the economy capital and the evil mind control center galactic achievement. By the end of the game, I was getting 1000BC surplus every turn, despite having 100% moral and production capacity at 100%.

I've noticed that some AI will trade money for money, typcially the Korx cause they tend to be on good terms with my race. I've traded 1000 for 1500 BC with them, but it only started at something like 600 for 680 BC. I have my race mainly focusing on diplomacy, namely +60% from the chosen benifits and +20% from populists, but I tend not to interfere with other races wars/peace because it tends to result in the drengin swallowing yet another race until they have a strong enough militry

I kinda like how it gets hard so fast. Makes winning, or even just holding your own, a lot more rewarding. As for the difficulty, the way I see it is that aslong as its challanging you should play on which ever difficulty you want to. As soon as it starts getting easy you move onto the next difficulty (did that with GC1, went from getting my but handed to me on cakewalk to beating three technologically, militarily, planetarily, economically superior al

I'm finding the campaign hard so far, but not impossible. On lower difficulty levels (simple) the dread lords do some pretty stupid stuff. Namely, after they invade and capture your planet, you usually have a few turns before they'll think about consolidating their capture (you can throw a transport at them and their scouts won't attack it). Ofcourse, their frigates and battleships hit hard, I've left them and the scouts alone. All you really have to w

The Tiger tanks were problems to begin with, it would take something like a month to build one. In comparison, it took 1-2 days to build an entire Sherman. The Russian T-33/34s were superior to anything on the battlefield due to their design and simplicity (sloped armour and very easy to manafacture) till the Panther came out. The Panther was the German response to the T-34s. The Panthers were of better design (the later versions anyway), but equipment

I don't understand the phrase 'cop out', but in my experience the pirates would never, ever, ever buy the games in the first place (lots of pirates here in Australia, probably 50% of my friends, the other 50% don't play PC games).

I noticed that you had posted the UP bug after I made my previous post. Since I'm getting long server errors when I try to edit said post, just imagine that I acknowledged your 1 bug, and one possible bug that could just be put down as poor planning.

I was wondering why he kept saying that everyone was avoiding the issue at hand, that the gameplay is buggy, and yet he never made a single point or reference to these terrible, doomsday bugs he has been suffering.

Taliesinangelus, is there an option where Citizen Hereticked learns not to fight forum battles with a rusty spoon of poorly worded, misdirected anger?

Geforce 4000MX? You're lucky its bloody working at all. Heck, the 4440MX was just a slightly faster Geforce 2 with cheaper ram. The 4440mx didn't even have pixel shaders or vertex shaders that were compatible with anything newer than HL1. Ontop of that, all budget end geforce 4 series cards are only DX7 compatible, short of DX9 by two versions. That means that your PC has to emulate DX9, as in software mode. Simply put, Geforce 4 budget cards, like yo
