I usually only add one farm and 2 entertainment centers. On planets with a bonus in approval I either add another farm, or with a farm bonus, add another multimedia center. Those become my tax paing planets then, more or less. I usually don't specialize planets unless they have some very good bonus tiles. I always like to have one planet able to crank out heavy ships every few turns.

You'll have to send additional constructors to add some modules that can up your social and military production on planets in that radius.

That's what I think too. The AI player there must have had an enormous cash reserve.

I once cheated and ended up with colony ships with 0 colonists on board, after colonizing a planet it took a few turns to get to 0.01 billion, but after that it got a fixed value, like mentioned above.

I once had this problem. I hink it was caused because one of the ships was on sentry status. I moved another ship onto that tile and woanten to build a fleet. Didn't work. Well, a fleet was created, but did only contain one ship, and not both.

The first tiny model of the Altarian ship set has A LOT of misalligned ship hardpoints. The bad thing is, we can't possibly turn them in the right direction ourselves. For that we would need an axtra option to turn harpoints around their other axis (their base, so to speak). Well, what is sure is everyone will get a poster-sized tech tree and an url with a code to get the extra ship components. They also mention "other goodies", but I guess nobody has an idea what's that going to be.
