Yup i find that if i can spare 3 slots on a planet i build farm entertainment and trade building. I used to have that same begin game crunch but since i have been doing that i never have it and i always pick a fairly large planet to be my economic capital. Always useful. Limit your spying to only one neighbour at a time. Spare no expense to get those economic resources although i hear they are nerfing the mining modul

#35 Derekroth. Yes thats the idea the beta patch tests it for those users who like to break their games seriously its to get a broad test to see if the changes they made have impacts beyond what they intended. If you don't like your game crashing or it expereincing unexpected quirkiness then stay away from most betas. Once the stardock crew feel they

think of it this way if your a very saintly civilization then the people you must be fighting are evil nay sayers and must be crushed because they believe differently than us and we are the "GOOD" civilization and therefore we must be right. Sound familiar? so killing every man woman and child isn't too far fetched because they would be heathens and would need cleansing.

Yes spear but the fastest way to upgrade enmasse your ships was to open your previous design throw a light or something on it save it and then it would ask you what you wanted to upgrade your design to. At which point you could select a new design. Now i have to remember exactly what i had on the old design so that i dont. mess it up for later games. Very painful until they allow us to upgrade ships en masse

All i ask is that you stay true to your ideas there. Keep making the game you would want to play and leave the extras to the modders in some cases. I would hate to see the core of the game corrupted because a few very vocal people drowned out the quiet masses playing the game.

Conversely Align GOod helps if you have a lot of smaller lower HP ships. I can easily build ships that can withstand attacks from i think the record was 14 ships at once. it had a small attack value (6) but its defences were high at (40) so when the fleet hit i just let the battle run and went to get a coffee.

yup 6 is right if there are 2 other civilizations. The resolution says EACH civilization gives 3 technologies

HEEGZ is right as well as CTB. The AI can pretty much do alot of the things you can do. Also never really use the trade window for espionage always try and click through their planets and guage their weapon capabilities that way they like to keep their best ships in the middle of their empire so a quick AWACS run can reveal a lot more than a trade window.

There are massive performance hits. If you want to see everything in your empire just race to sensor 4 and build eyes of the universe. You will then see all ships on the minimap. You also get a 10 parsec boost to your sensors eliminating the need for Awacs all together.
