[quote who="Gaunathor" reply="2" id="3459299"] Quoting Redindus, reply 1hope they will fix the issues for compatible with WinVista64. Unlikely, based on this: Quoting Island Dog, reply 5Only Window 7 and 8 will be officially supported. Still, with GalCiv 3 on the horizon, I really wonder if it is a good idea to begin working on such a big mod for GalCiv 2. Even under the best of circumstances, by the time you're finished, GalCiv 3 has either been rel

It been two weeks and no reply, so i guess this may end deadend for this project. It will be a year and a half or longer for GalCiv3, keep in mind that most players dont have Win7 or higher OS. I still love my Vista64 and not having any problems with it. So having Star Trek Mod on GC3 is cool, hope they will fix the issues for compatible with WinVista64.

I have my old GCIII box and kept Star Trek Mods backup on two cds around 2006. Now i am trying to fix everything, that no one was able to do or get their projects going. Sadly to see Hans and others gave up their projects and some of them got lost during upload elsewhere. So i bought the Ultimate Edition from Steam and now i can see why it wouldnt work. For some reasons i couldnt get older GC3 to work, probably my drive and OS. Yesterday i spend

Too bad i cant play it, need that last expansion and they dont sell it. I would have to buy the collection to play it. Wish it can be played on dark avatar too.

I reinstall the game and trying to get the Dark Avatar from Stardock, in order to do that i have to update GalCivII, every time it tried to download the patch, it stopped around 50% with an error. So i also remove the security on x86 for Vista so it can be modified. This the second times i tried to install/patch GalCiv II, what going on Stardock?

Only thing they need to do is fix the resources, nothing stay there forever once it get depleted. Not realistic at all, unless they mention it.

After diggin around few files and browsing over 30 pages of threads and finally figured out something and on my spare times while im not at work i manage to complete my project. The bad news that homeworld cannot be set barren or any other environments except habitablebyall that is hardcoded. I didnt want the humans or other humanoid races that cannot stand the harsh environment, so there nothing i can do about it at the moment. If anyone do have a way to get around this please let me know then

Been trying to make a Alien Planet that look like barren or moon type. I manage to make the planet look right on the outside but the inside cant get a match. I have downloaded alot of heightmaps (.raw) but i cannot seen them and have no clues which one that will match the planet. I must have done a dozen times to see what they look like between redplanet and normal but they all seem to be terrain type worlds. Is there a easy way to make .raw heightmaps? And is it possible to ma

When i make a new game (normal) and modify my home planet to PQ:36 make it look like Coruscant. This is gigantic map with very slow research speed. And also modify my stats: Courage, Luck, 20% economy, military and morale. Universalists, this will give me total of... 25% Courage (good defending) 25% Soldiering 50% Luck + (25% Universalists) 25% Economy + (5% Universalists) 20% Military 20% Morale 10% Defense (Universalists) 10% Population (Universalists)

bad morale also makes planets easier to capture (bribing a part of the population to fight at the invaders side). and i believe low morale makes planets join another civ faster. Also have a chance to repel from your cilization. I was playing one time and Approval Rating was around 59%, funny i lost all my planets included my home and all i h

humans will never work together untill we all have the same values which will never happern till one country concers the rest of the world politicly or by war getting along with other races might lead some problems to some people and i been in 15 states in the last 20 years and i cant believe how ppls are treated, another word racism. I'm afraid it's far more complicated then that. Let's pretend everyone decided to form a global democracy tommorow. Do we for a Federal, Confederal, or Unitary system? Will it there be a Congressional legislature or a Parliment? Will we have a President, Prime MInister, or both? Will representitives be chosen by proportional representation or a "first past the pos

It would be a dream for all of you guys if we could form into one government, but that not gonna happen becuz there is so many different cultures with so many complex governments, religons, politics, etcs. The only way to do this is overrun them with either Democracy, Communism or Facism. I mean the whole world would have to agreed with one form of government so only way to do this is power of the people that support it, Having good economy, research & developments for cultures and alli

Dunno they disabled them for some reason, overpowered perhap? If they are all you can do is adjust the numbers alittle. Disabled the beam weapons will kill B5 though.

For some reason the game still run but the code i put in at least 20 or less minor civs doesnt kick in. Unless they build a better software that allow users to add more options in GC2. Perhap in the furture.

Hmm too bad i cant edit my topic, anyway im not part of their B5 modding so i just change few things around and correct them for myself. Trying to balanced it out for my ideal. One more thing having Alliance and Techs Trading enable would be more enjoyable playing the game itself. Enjoy.

Well i have fix the problems so dont have to clear at all. Beside i noticed some of these races are way too advanage so i decreases their abilities some. For instance all the minor races have high weapons, defenses, research and soldiering so i kill that. I also made all major races changed too, so they cannot colonize nothing only thru Diplomacy or Invasion. The map should be played on Giganitc along with rare habitable planets, Abundant of stars and planets. Scattered Stars is good, t

I don't think this will work, unfortunately. First, the code assumes a certain number of raceIDs, ending with the Dread Lords. Second, minor races are placed based on the size of the map and the distance between each player, specifically to avoid doing what you want to do. It would be an interesting scenario, though. Only one way to fin
