Now all i need to do is work out which techs to go for to max out my score a bit more.. Oh and i lied :) 2 more to close out on.. 7 for the day is not a bad evenings work. The only thing i would say is that ZYW are great for points but dont really do a lot for the fun of playing the game. That said i will carry on knocking them out to see how well i can do in a week with my little empire of one!

Ok i have to come across as stupid but how do you guys manage a zero year win against the AI's? The best i ever managed was a three year victory and that was pushing it. So if you could please give away your secrets so the rest of us mere mortals can try for one too please :D

Nice interview. I just wish i could get on with the game :( I purchased it right back at the beginning of the betas and right up to release i found the interface and game play too difficult to understand and the tutorial was anything but in-depth. I have not ever thought about upgrading the miner to an additional colony ship but i can see the logic behind doing so. I tend to not rush buy anything other than the initial factory on my primary planet, and then every subsequent colony landed only gets 3x economy buildings until it gets to 6bil pop at which stage i know the planet can pay for itself and most of the upgrades i

Firstly let me appologize to all you players of the game that play at the top level of difficulty :) I just tried my first game at 'Tough' and got my behind handed to me by the Krynn! In the end i had to shoot for an alliance victory or it would have been all over in another year or two tops. I found the new governor list a tad hard to use but once you get the idea of the listing it does save time so thank you! However please add a 'TICK' button to save changes you might make to the list so it holds the new layout and allow lists to save so we dont have to re-enter the list every single game.
Ref #1 - Blank text now showing. Preformed custom civs might need to be redone to avoid this error.
